New to Acurazine, Not new to Almighty Honda :)

Hi all. Just saying hi and looking forward to becoming a part of yet another great Honda/Acura community. I'm a member of NSXPrime and S2ki (same screen name) and the Ridgeline Owners Club (screen name Ruined). I have a '98 3.0CL that I bought my girlfriend for her birthday recently and will be playing with it more than her, I'm sure.

I'm a proud owner of an '07 Ridgeline RTX as well, and a former owner of many Hondas and one Acura. I started with an '89 Prelude, (2) '91 Preludes, an '88 Accord, an '01 Prelude, an '02 S2000, an '06 Ridgeline RT and finally an '00 NSX-T, which I reluctantly just sold a few months ago for financial reasons . After old Pontiacs when I was younger, some Toyota pickups, and a pure idiot moment where I purchased a '94 Jeep Wrangler, I'm Honda through and through.

The CL I bought for the girlfriend is an auto (I can't get her to drive a stick), but is in great condition otherwise, with only 94K on her. Cardiff Blue/Green pearl with beige interior and most of the goodies available. I added a spoiler, and plan on upgrading the exhaust and wheels/tires soon, as soon as I figure out what's out there for this car. This site appears at first glance to be very informative, so I should be able to find what I'm looking for here .

swift...-can't drop, with the roads around here, my driveway and her driving, I'd be replacing the entire front clip in a week .

sayful...-well aware of the mod bug, bit me hard with the '01 'Lude, the S and the NSX. I think I'm still paying for parts for those cars . Need to take it easy with this one. Just keep it in tip-top shape and a few minor mods. I have to keep reminding myself that it's NOT my car .

Yep, about 30 minutes east, down the parkway and the turnpike.

I replaced 2 front lips on the NSX because of PA roads . Would've kept the NSX anyways had finances allowed for it. I had it for 2 1/2 years, sacrificing just about all else. Couldn't justify it any more. Had to grow up a little, as much as I hate grown-ups. I miss her almost every day though.

Someday I'll get another one, or at least an S. It is nice not having any car payments though .

And yea I understand the whole crappy road kind of thing. Ohio. Woo hoo lol. You could always get some coilovers so you can raise it like say in the winter and what not. Well i guess nevermind you said something about her driveway. Ouch

how about
Intake/Headers/Exhaust/Tint/Blackhousing/Smoked Corners/LED Interior Lights/uhhh Tinted Tails

just throwing some of the normal mods people do on here

or if you lucky (BlackAck) Projectors. yum

Our driveway, she lives with me. I know how to get out of it at a sharp angle so as not to hurt anything (NSX at stock height is still pretty damn low), but she'd forget or simply not care, and CRACK!...busted plastic/fiberglass. No point in trying. Really want to do exhaust and the OEM is fading fast, but there's not much info on here about anything but replacing the can with a magnaflow . Any other suggestions? I had a Neuspeed on my S and loved it. Wanted to get the Taitec GT Lightweight on the NSX but could never afford it. And nobody made anything for the old Preludes, but that was before the import craze hit hard. Not into clearing or smoking lenses, just want to shine up the OEM ones.

Most of us get custom exhausts, but you can get catbacks from accords to fit. I hear ya on the PA roads, if you're gf's driving def gotta be mindful of that.

you have alot of options for exhaust, just about anything fit for a 94-97 accord will fit the CL. A really good exhaust that i've heard is the Greddy sp2 that a member has on here, it growls when you want it to but its still pretty quiet. You can get just about any muffler to fit with some welding, and a little bit of ingenuity.

Girl's CL

The '06 Ridgeline (left) and the '07 Ridgeline (right) the day I picked up the '07 at the dealership

My Baby (up until recently )

My Baby before that

Pics of pics . No digital camera back then.

'01 Prelude

'91 Prelude

'91 Prelude

'89 Prelude (4WS )

No pics of the '88 Accord, but it was a bone stock DX sedan. Nice car, but very basic. White with '89 Prelude wheels. Served it's purpose, then totalled by my girlfriend's mother .

Thanks. Wish I could've kept 'em all.

Pics of pics . Yeah, I needed to post them on another site and didn't have a scanner (still don't), so I put the pics on the bed and tried to get a decent shot of them with the digital camera. It's tough, the lighting is a bitch!

Thanks. The NSX was/is my dream car since '91. When I found one at a dealer close to home and the bank was willing to finance the difference left after trading the S, I jumped on it. I ate Ramen noodles and wore the same clothes for the next 2 1/2 years, but it was fun while it lasted.

The wall was an old closed down school by my house that made a nice back drop, I thought. I was always looking for stuff to take pics of the car in front of. I've got some interesting ones. I'll see if I can find them...

I put over 13K on her in the time I had her, so I was all over the place around here, and up and down the east coast. I wish I could've kept her . Someday again, I hope.

Did you say Trans Am???

'75 455 4 speed. Sheer violence to drive. Worked on her for a year, body work and such, never got her past black primer, then sold her to a friend for $2K. Found out a little later she was one of 307 made and one of even fewer that had aftermarket T-Tops done through the dealer . Currently having a frame-of restoration done by another owner here in town. Jagoff!!!

It's not what it seems, although it was pretty cool. I was at a meet with my S2000 buddies, and one of the guys with us was an instructor at the track. He arranged for us to get three parade laps at 35MPH. Well, he and the driver of the pace car struck a deal and the minute we were around the first corner...ZOOM!...off he went. The rest of us, about 30 cars, followed and basically did three hot laps with no helmets or anything. Hit 105 on the front straightaway. I didn't want to pull in. Most fun I've ever had in a car, clothes on or off .

It did...and still does. If I ever see it when it's done it'll hurt even more. Live and learn, I suppose. 2nd gear synchronizer was bad...at least I didn't have to fix that .
