My Project=DONE!
since i didn't have a project which is cool enough for the other thread. i'm starting my own.
its been a long time coming and lots of ups and downs. After no luck finding a buyer and bad luck with 2 of my legends which ended up totaled. I decided on replacing the blown motor in the CL.
Picked up a JDM F23A. The project only took a little over a week to complete. start to finish. Moments ago, life was given to my new F23A and my CL is BACK! aside from a little rough idle and a huge exhaust leak (both to be addressed tomorrow when its not snowing)
with out further ado.....
i haven't decided yet but i'm probably going to be putting her up for sale soon. i Just don't see a future with it. We'll see how it goes, its my old working ride at the moment sooo....

btw, no such thing as a JDM F23A. F23A was used strictly in USDM vehicles. the 98-99CL and the 98-2002 Accord. nice work though, glad you have it running. fix the dent yet?

im pretty sure if its just stamped as f23a on the block then it should be jdm as the usdm motors have the numbers following the engine code (ie: f23a1) but i also have never heard of a jdm f23 but i dont see why it wouldnt be possible.

Apparently, CF7 Accords had an F23a, which are JDM (Vi and VTi trim). Nicely done, now clean it up and keep it =)

i stand corrected, i was under the impression that non US accords used the F20B after 1997 or the H22 in the Euro R trim.
good link aqua.
