My glovebox light...

Wont turn off! (at night) I guess for some reason I cant get it to completely close? If I push it hard the light turns off but then comes back on in 3 seconds... Anyone know what the deal is?

there's a lil button that pushes in when you close the glove box. if you push on it, the light should go off. see how far you have to push in when the light goes off. match the rubber dot at where the light switch would be when the box is closed. that should solve your problem

I have noticed on mine that it only turns on when the head lamps are on. I dont think anyone will have a problem unles you leave your lights on.

I thought my car was the only one with this problem.
Everyone always tells me, "why is your glove compartment light on?" so I make a joke
out of it by telling them, "my owners manual is scared of the dark".

I just tell them to ignore it and it will go away.

I know this sounds silly, but there was allegedly a TSB put out by Acura on this... My 90 Teg had this issue. My CL does not. But, the fix was an overlay plastic piece that looked a little like a pen cap that was cut short and stuck on the end of the push-switch. I like the rubber slam guard, "dot" idea. That is slick... just align it on the inside of the glove box door where the push-switch touches, and presto the switch is pushed in far enough. The overlay plastic tip accoplished the same thing. But it was not as asthetic as the dot.
