Still dont have the power steering bracket :COUGHCOUGH::KUMAR::COUGHCOUGH:: and the damn rear motor mount needs to be modified to keep the motor from moving a little and the massive IM from hitting the brake booster:annoyed:. I need to cop those IM motormounts soon, that'll probably fix the issue.
What i can say is that the torque powerband on the H23vtec vs the H22 feels much more useable with this big heavy CL from the low end all the way through. Maybe it feels that way cuz the H22's i've driven only had i/h/e and i have more than that. I can't rev as high as an H22 as the H23vtec is essentially a stroked H22 w/an extra .1 liters and a few differences here and there, but i really dont think i'd need it anyway. 7 and change RPM is fine for me (my friend's H22 accord revs to 8200. idk if thats even safe lol). Although, if i wanted to i could plug in the JDM P13 and rev higher, but i dont think it would make more power with more rpm unless i'm going turbo or cams or something, so i'll stick to what i got...for now :ninja:. I should also find out if the H23vtec has the extra oilsquirters the H22 has which make it safer to rev higher, but last time i checked i believe they were there (am i right Allan?) Pics to come :wish: |

fuckin IM and brake booster fitment is driving me CRAZY! I fear if that i can't find a way to make it fit i wont be able to use it, thats like 10-15 less whp :( . And money down the drain. IACV wiring was a pain too as the H23 and F23 use 3 connectors and the H22 skunk2 IM uses 2, but once i hook up the H22 ecu 1 of those connectors becomes irrelevant i believe. So we'll see. More direct info by tonight.

iacv solved. the booster issues no issue if it was up to me. i pretty much cracked my tranny and managed to do something. improvise. customize. wise up son ;)
|
tomorrow i shall get the bracket delivered to me...

You know you have a dedicated mechanic when you tell him you need the car for something the next day and he works all night to fix the car's issues and shows up AT YOUR DOORSTEP at 6 am to hand u the car! LOL. Can't get any better than that
|
chris did you talk to xenocron??
|
Nah, i'm just gonna have the part i need overnighted from an ebay store. I need to change my thermostat though, the car seems to keep fluctuating in temperature.
|
why am i on AZ while my friend is having a party. its time to let go. lol
|
u missed us that much?

what esle do you need for that? throttle body? port matching? |
10-15 whp from the IM? Wow, i never knew that you could get those results, you have cams/port/polishing?

wait so which ecu are u running currently?
|
F23 ecu unfortunately. Finally ordered the jumper harness to be overnighted last night, then that will help TREMENDOUSLY. I probably shouldn't even really run the motor with that ecu but i wanna break the stage 2 clutch in so im cruising around taking it easy on it.

Update...H22/23 heads please check this out.
I got my jumper harness and Custom basemap ecu from phearable.net and WOWWWW is all i can say for the new ECU. I put in the jdm p13 and the fuel basemaps were still wrong, car would hit vtec and fall on its face. I'm guessing the extra .1 difference in liters made a big difference for fuel mixture. Right after i cursed up a storm cuz the car wasn't running right, the mail lady comes back to my house (had already dropped off the harness in the morning) and hands me the phearable P28. FINALLYYYY the car revs all the way to 8k, and pulls HARD all the way to redline! As soon as the stage 2 clutch catches the car LEAPS into action, its a beautiful thing. I still have to get used to the clutch though. All thats left to adjust is the idle, as it keeps bouncing up and down between 1000 and 1300. and check what the check engine light is (probably idle related) and the car will be running in peak condition. Right now id say its 85% outta 100% simply for the idle problem and check engine light. |
arent you going to break in the clutch before you start doing hard pulls?
|
ummm yeah i probably should lol. i just wanted to see if the ECU was as advertised. I'm gonna cruise with her till i get to like 300 or 400 miles on the clutch now that i know the ECU is exactly what i paid for. Right now im at about 80 miles.
|
Nice Chris, glad you got it fixed up, new ECU should make all the difference in the world

he has a chipped P06. Its like a chipped P28 or P13. The chips add functions, preload basemaps n such. The ecus are like bodies and when you chip em you fuckup with their memory so you can make it do whatever you want
|
that looks very hot brah....mucho props :)

would i be able to get just the basemap from that site or do i have to get the whole ecu? Cuz i got a P06 chipped to a p28 with a custom basemap that the guy that street tuned my car made, but if i can get a copy of yours that works mint that would be amazing.
