A local mechanic put a corvette engine into his old ass chevy, i forget what model but it was pretty sick. Straight sleeper.

One of the sickest things i did see was a 350z with a Corvette LS2 motor in it! They're sticking that motor into anything these days lol.

Haha my iPod crashed like 4 times while trying to read this thread on vacation. It was worth it though.

MAD props to you DaInFaMMuS1. Bout time you came out with it! Kumar you're one crazy dude w/that setup lol. I was thinking about that sometime in the distant future though on another car lol. My car is started and ready, wiring issues were handled im just giving them a little time to perfect things here and there this weekend, then i'll go scoop her up. |
too many chris's on this forum :whyme:

what do you think it will take to make a cl all wheel drive. crx or crv tranny? realisticaly
crv or mdx
aren't most of the teg/civics using crv differentials?
i know some of the smaller cars like del sol are using crx differentials. |
i have heard talks of the crx 4wheel drive tranny. can anyone elaborate
i would think 4 wheel drive would be easier to swap considering all wheel would equal into a electrical nightmare |
wasnt it like the zc civic wagon that was awd, and they use that for awd?
im not sure. anyone heard of any crazy swaps done? curious
i would imagine i'd be similar to the 2jz swaps for the s2k since they change out almost all of it including the rear differentials(which i think they use nissan rear differentials).
swapping a rwd for a rwd can be done
fwd for an all wheel drive is a diff issue |
yeah but they're pretty much just using the shell for the 2jz swap, almost all motor components are swapped out.
no such thing as a CRX AWD. some Civic Wagons "vanagons" were AWD. and some Honda Ferio's (Civic Sedans) were AWD.
arber lets do it... the guys at byt is moving to a bigger shop so i can keep my car there longer and they can do a rear wheel drive conversion... but thats in the future...
I've heard of a swap to make a crx awd also.
probaly using the AWD configuration from the vanagon.
since my motor is originally from an AWD accord wagon, theres a good probability that if i could find that drivetrain to purchase i could somehow make it work in the car since i already have the motor in there. At least thats what i'm thinking. But I'd have to have alot of $$ for that, which i currently dont lol.
it would be such a cool thing to run 20lbs of boost on a all wheel drive honda :)
The cost would be huge though. But it would be cool to have the honda version of the Evo lol.
i don't think honda's awd can handle high hp launches though.

Its MY car and i can cry if i want to...LOL
But nah i want the engine bay to look super clean so i dont want mismatch welded parts right there on the front of the block as a bracket. I'll find it sooner or later. |
