Unhappy May have to soon let the CL go soon

Well heres the story. This is technically my parents car. But they call it mine. Anywho. We bought the car at 105K miles. Oh its a 97 3.0. Now there is 132K. Anywho, we got the tranny rebuilt twice, along with the clutch. Well my dad has pretty much had enough of it. He was going to trade it in with he bought my mom her 06 Sonota a few months ago. But with my wonderful negotiating skills, he kept it. lol. Well the tranny is going, again.. That is why he wanted to trade it in. Well its getting pretty bad. I have rough shifts from 1 to 2, 2 to 1, and even from 2 to 3 now. And to top it all off my front left strut is going. AND just yesterday this started, idk what it is. When i stop at a stop sign, yes a complete stop, And turn, either way, it makes like a clicking noise. Im not sure but it sounds like its just coming from the front right side. Anywho, my dad said we would basically just keep it until it dies and he wont do anymore repairs to it. And its def dying. So I may have to get a new car. And before he was looking at 94' Camrys . Talk about a downgrade. And I dont want a grandma car lol. How much do you think I could get outta selling it. I would love getting another CL. But idk the chances of that or my dad buying me a 2.2/2.3 stick. First of all idk how to drive one, but I could learn, my buddy has a 85 Camaro stick. Well yea just thought I would inform you of the bad news.

Damn dude. I would defenatly go with a 2.2/2.3 manual tho. Jus not a Camry! I was going to get a Mustang GT (99) for my first car but my parents didn't want to pay the extra insurance. I'm glad I didn't get it tho. Anyway, 2.3 sick FTW!

no the manual trannys have no issues. as long as ur dont dump ur clutch every time you take off, they'll last. the synchros can go sometimes but its still driveable.

So they rebuilt it along with replacing the clutches?

If not, then we know why the tranny keeps going... Just tell your dad that if you take lessons it will be the last time... lol

honda is retarded, they canned their nicer cars, the prelude, the rsx, the CL. the new SI is ugly and the accord coupe is not pretty either. im very dissappointed in their marketing strategy.

Um, the motor for the newest accord is a 268 hp 3.5, that's what would go in a new CL if they made one, which they won't
