its been a little bit since i been here
theres some new faces and a bunch of new threads to look through...
anyway..
so tuesday my car is going in for a FREE full paint job (im gettin the hook though i wont say how..). im also finally putting on justin's kit for those of you that have been waiting to see what imma do with it..hahaha...sorry to those of you that pm'd me with offers..still keeping it...things just came up..
MY QUESTION IS...i totally dont know what color to paint my car. our family mechanic just called me earlier and asked if i wanted a free paint job....i got three people that said the car would look sick with gun metal...but theres a few versions of gun metal apparently...any thoughts?
after this im fixing the tranny, redoing my interior to mercedes black then im garaging it...i love this car but im putting hella miles on it

so im thinking maybe around a greyish color..lol...im not even sure what anthracite is..i looked it up and it sorta looks like that nimbus color..

that picture doesnt show off the color that well. Anthracite Metallic was a stock honda color so it'd be cool to keep it in the fam

i think this color looks nice..but since theres already been a cl this color id like to have something different..imma use this color as a last resort i suppose...im looking for a classy color like the anthracite.....how bout a version of black? (i guess grey would be a version of black wouldnt it..haha)....
i was thinking id make it a white so its like justin's car before...kinda...without his rims and dumped like his was...but then youd be able to see all the dirt and stuff like that...

some ppl already suggested java black pearl, which is a subaru color, black with gold flake in it
however a first gen has already done it, can't remember the username at this time. and it is done a lot on other cars
i have black sapphire metallic by BMW, i really like it, but again, you want to be different. And i think starboy2nv has it too, but i haven't seen pics of it on his car yet
just go to an automall or any dealerships and look for colors that you like, that's what i did, and it worked out pretty well.

ummm well i got artban's carpet (i think that was his sn) from his cl when he parted it out. i also got his seat belts and such. i was gonna do the s2000 seat thing like some of you have done but ive decided to just clean them and redye them a black. and the black that i got is a mercedes color which name isnt in my head right now...
i went through leatherique for my kit like in 2007 and still havent used it. i helped my cousin do his bmw and seats and they came out really good. but as far as the carpet. the color is whatever interior color he had in his cl.

if you're really interested, i'm sure you can find examples online, or better yet, go to a bmw dealer and check it out.
they should have a few models in that color, i spotted ot last year on a new 7 series in their lot

okay so its official....my car is now in the shop and ill be "CLoe"-less (name of my car) for 2 weeks...i got this color thats a bit darker than anthracite. i got it from this catalog that they had thats called "house of colors" which gave me a wide variety. the klepto kit is going to be bondo'd so that its in unison with the rest of the car and the shop is giving me lambo doors (with the correct kit and not the cheap one that some people get) as a thank you.
im all worried now. ive never been without my car for this long...AND ITS IN EAST OAKLAND...in a shop of course...
many pictures will come in two weeks..and then my car will disappear (imma keep it in the garage cause im going to the philippines for a month) for a bit and then will come back out after my interior is done.

is that the java black pearl? that was the color my gf didnt want me to get...its a bit lighter than that...without all the flake..i hope..hahah...its more of a pearl color what i got...
josh. what you could probably do is find someone parting out their car and see if you can get the carpet. otherwise its pretty expensive to get it redone. i dont remember how much artban charged me. but i practically got his whole interior sitting in my backyard..hahaha..nah not really

...nah forreal for those of you that live in east oakland...........its nice....nah who am i kidding..its really not...lol...my shits offa 98th ave...thats like the murder capital of the bay...
theres still a few things i needa do actually...replace my headrest monitors cause one is out and change my steering wheel to the mdx wood grain one...but thatll probably never happen

i like the look of 20% all around..when i get some extra cash, i'm going to remove all of my tint (currently rockin limo/5% in the back three, and 30% in the front two) and i'm going to go with 20% all around..its looks nicer and not so blacked out unless that's what you're going for?
