How can i beat a stock S2K??
yeah i cant believe im even asiing this question considering the fact that i have a 2.3 auto. but my friend got a s2k recently and the only thing on my mind is jealousy!!!! i will be doing a lot of work on my car come next summer. but i just wanted to know if i had a turbo for the f22/23 with a 75 shot, would i be able to beat a stock s2k?? oh and of course i would want to do a tranny swap. let me know that only reason im even asking is cuz im sooo jealous lol

hmm it's gonna be tough out of your f23. Alot of boost and alot of nitrous would do it, but your motor would be done. A fully built motor w/ a turbo may be able to do it, but still the f-series is the weak link

why the small-dick syndrome?
the CL and the S2K are very different cars. the only thing they share in common is that they both have F-series motors.
to beat an S2K in a CL auto.. you'd need.... well.... a prayer, and heaps of motor work. you'd need at least tubo to come close, possibly even nitrous. at that point you have to start thinking about changing to a 5spd trans because the auto can't take that much power.
i sucks i drove an S2K for the first time recently, and after taking a car to 9k... my car just doesnt seem as fun anymore.

Sell your CL and use the money to buy a Evo.
That way you can "use" your CL to beat the S2K.
Argument and topic is pointless. Throw a bunch of work at your ride so you can beat a stock car? Big deal... He'll add one mod and beat you again soooooo.....
Just be happy with your ride and what you can do with it...
or buy something else.

a f22 or f23 vtec with a 5spd, bolts ons, turbo, good rubber, and decent driver should take a s2k. even low boost should get at least 200hp to the wheels. ask niedejb. i dont know if he has dynos of his f22 cl set at lower psi. 13psi and 253hp is nuts!!! the s2k will still have SICK projector hids!!!!!!!!!

I say your best chances are
1) To start the race the day before, this way you get a great jump on him
2) Flatten any of his tires, this will also give you a great headstart
3) Give yourself up now, face reality and just accept the fact that a CL will never beat a stock S2K

well i can personally say that every s2000 that i have raced has lost terribly to the silver ac w/ built h22 turbo
the closest one was about 3 cars behind me...oh those were not stock
it is possible to take a s2000....just turbo that bitch

It shouldn't be that hard to beat a stock s2k.
They run low 14's stock, not high 13's.
Turbo f22 and about 12 psi should win.
Turbo h22 like d98 and you'll smoke him.
You'd definately have to swap that tranny though!

whenever i race someone, like auto-x i just tell the people that beat me i was listening to my bose system (i know, crappy but still) and warming up my butt with my seat heaters.

i was gonna say....wait for a cold day....warm up ur car first and kinda force him into racing with out warming up his car so he won't have VTEC to back him up.....but if u think about it....he probably still gonna wope ur ass without VTEC.
