cheapy sri or expensive sri

i was think about a sri for my 3.0. i had a 1.6 civic and i had gone to Autozone and got a modular intake kit for about 40 and a filter for about another 40. any difference with that and like an AEM intake?

SRI on a 3.0 is a bad idea, they hum really badly. I'd advise getting a cheap ebay CAI and putting a k&n cone filter on it

SRIs hum like a mofo but if you don't want to risk hydrolocking with the CAI and don't really mind the hum (It's not that bad) then go with the BOMZ Racing SRI. Fits perfect and the filter is decent. I would still slap a K&N filter on it though.

I've seen them. You're going to need a long ass silicone hose to reach because the connector part is towards the filter instead of towards the engine.

Ahh ok, I think I know what you're talking about. That should work fine. Won't be that pretty though.

If you would have used the search in the first place you wouldn't have wasted another thread on this topic. I have a cheap sri. I put it on my car sometimes then take it off after a bit to have the stealth sound.

No biggie just cant count how many of these there r lol. Maybe a mod can combine them or something. But yea I love how my sri sounds gets a nasty deep screaming sound when v tec kicks in. I just take it off during the winter, and when I get tired of my car being loud as crap.

You need to edit your picture addresses, they're incomplete which makes the pictures show improperly.

I might do this with a K&N Cone instead...since my Air Box has been running with no Resonator.
