car won't go into REVERSE... but goes in other gears
my best friend cl for some reason can't go into reverse.... 30 minutes before everything was working fine untill out of no where it it wont let me put it in reverse it feels like it's jammed or something.... all gears work just fine but not the reverse

what kind of car are you in? if it is a honda they are notorious for not wanting to go into reverse. i had a 90 integra that sometimes would not go; i would have to let it roll alittle bit then try it, somtimes if you shift it into fourth before going into R that helps...but then again something may be hosed with the tranny

on occasion i get that with first and reverse. usually, if i shift through another gear or two, it will go into the gear i want. im getting a new clutch installed next week, i'll see if the problem still occurs.

probably not what your experiencing because it sounds like you know enough to try this, but sometimes my brothers integra needs to move a ffew inches to get into reverse (because maby the gears dont line up?)
