List your mileage if your CL has more than 100k and the major problems you've had. I have a 1997 2.2 cl and I have 146k I (knock on wood have not had any major problems because I bought it at 130k.

is it 5spd or auto? the motor should run fine till 200+ as long as the oil has always been changed. The tranny however might start to slip if it's auto. Especially if it's still the first tranny.
How much did you buy it for if you don't mind me asking? Must have got a great deal because of the high milage.

A-CL Post Whore w/N2O
I think that 1StGenCL has around 215,000 miles.
I have 105K miles and except for the 105K service due, no major problems (however, I am dropping in a new engine in 12 days.

call me crazy, but ive owned my 97 3.0 for 2 years. i bought it at 69,xxx and now im up to 97,xxx miles....im sooo worried about hittin 100K...i mean 1stgens got like 200+ miles on his but ...i donno, call me crazy but theres somethin about hittin 100K that makes me think the car is old and about to die...i mean in reality, im sure 100K is about 1/2 the life these cars can have...just look at 1stgens....but its scary, thinkin about rollin over to 100K soon...my cls gonna seem soo old and worn.....im sure i'll get over it though..hehe

good to hear those CL's are still crankin well into the 100's... my '98 just turned 54k last week... someone mentioned that after 100k miles they get the feeling that the car is on its way down, did you ever own an american car??!

Mazda3 and Honda Civic in
Bought mine in Nov 97 off the lot(demo) It has 140,000 miles and the only thing that Ive had a problem was the altenator in March. I had it up to 125-130 2 months ago heading to Dallas. Still runs good, will keep this till the wheels fall off. Oil changed regular and you should not have a problem
