Back Again... Just Bought 97 Acura 3.0CL
So I've been away a while... Since I was last online I have been through a 00 Honda Hatch, 93 Integra, 04 TL 6MT, 99 Wrangler, 03 RSX, 05 TSX, 91 4Runner, 07 Civic Si, 93 Accord 5MT Coupe, 09 TSX, 10 MDX. It's been a while and I'm back!
I just finished hooking up my Tacoma Sport (below) and needed a fun driver, a classic... I've always wanted the classic CL! Check out what I just picked up! Now... what to do in a quick reconditioning...?!? I see intakes and stuff are hard to come by now... I was going to order an AEM or Injen CAI (some say the 2nd gen fits is this true?), anything fun left out there on the market??
And my toy...

WOW... Who owned that car before you? A retired female Avery good find i must say. What i'd do is: AEM V2 CAI (5-10HP), Headers (15-25hp), and a quiet exhaust like I use in all my honda/acura's Apex-i World Sport II (5-10hp). Also would do synthetic oil and Redline D4 synthetic transmission fluid to keep your moving parts working at exceptional efficiency. Oh, clean those headlight lenses good and add 5000k HID'S blacking them out would look mean.

As for the claimed hp results for said mods in previous posts, I can only assume one of two possibilities where those numbers remain true. First, if we're talking to the flywheel, or secondly if we're referring to one of the j32 engines and not the j30a1 engine.
With that said, the dyno results on a dyno jet with intake, obx headers, cat back exhaust without a resonator, and UR pullies resulted in a 13whp increase. After the tune with a vafc controller, I gained another 12whp and 11 lbs of torque. So in total I put down 175whp for a net gain of 25whp to the wheels tuned on the j30a1 engine. Stock these 3.0's put down 150whp with a 25 percent drivetrain loss. I have the dyno results listed on Azine from about 9yrs ago. Hope this helps
I'm loving both cars btw!
