Anyone have a VTEC engagement light?

Ive seen these on GSRs and Preludes, but i havent seen them for the SOHC VTECS...Anyone have one on their 2.2, or 2.3 CL? And if you do, know how to hook one up? Thanks.

I know a couple people have done it over on h-a.net so you might want to go over there and do a search under the accord section. Dont stay there though, that place is so dead

I was just checking it out the oter day seems like a cool place...theres something for everyone on the site........I do kinda question why the CL doesn't have their own section. I also recognized a lot of names from SHO.

hahaha YOU USED TO BE ON SHO too?? haha
after SHO crashed, Mike became a real asshole to everyone and alienated all the old skool SHO peeps, so Dezoris, a fellow SHO'er made Hondavision in January and now all the OGs of SHO are on it, and the forums are so diverse, its great....just the cool peeps from SHO ...

Another cool thing about this site is that it's almost always work safe...cuz it sucks when ur surfing and someone has a half naked chick in their sig and then co workers or boss that pass by may think your looking up porn at work.

Why would you even need a light telling you when VTEC switches profiles anyway?

i dunno, i know it sounds kinda ricey....but a tiny LED in the dash that lights when VTEC was engaged would look pretty cool i think..

Haha, if I wanted LED's, I'd just get some of those cool Varad blue pulsing ones. Looks like Knight Rider, except blue.

nah, LS/VTEC conversion isnt very good unless u uprgade the pistons/rings....u cant rev it past 6 grand, or kablooee....its not very efficient for the money, when i can get a REVHARD Stage 2....but im getting the CL soon, so goodbye Teggy.

friend just built a turbo lsvtec.. runs a solid 10.. so "not worth it" is horse shit.. .. and if you rip the entire block and head apart to drill new coolant and oil feeds, why not replace everything else.. i wouldn't rip all that shit down, send it to the machinist.. and tell him to keep my crap ass pistons and valvetrain

um actually for the hp u get out of a Revhard Stage 3......versus an extra ooh 30 hp, or the B18c5 with an extra 50 hp....its not worth it....trust me..i would rather boost my b18b than put a damn VTEC head and modify it and risk problems, because the LS/VTEC is unreliable..if u want i have articles over it.....

**Plus im interested to know how u have 2 different motors in your Civic, since the SiR motor is a B16a, and u say u have an H22a, and is yours left hand drive, cuz last time i checked a Ferio was a Civic in Japan...

how am i getting owned......ive been waiting for a reply all day, ive seen him on.....He knows im right....another poser..

H22a - Prelude DOHC motor
B16a - DOHC motor( came in the old Civics:JDM SiR, new Civic Si, del Sol DOHC VTEC)
Ferio - JDM Civic

I just wanna know how you can have a USDM Civic, and call it a FERIO, and then also claim its an SiR, when it has an H22a in it..
I mean sure i can slap a Type S on my CL and call it a Type-S.....i guessssssssss.

Please correct me if im wrong fOde but fOde was going to put the H22A in his CL but it ended up getting totalled after an accident. He ended up getting a right hand drive Civic imported and is now trying to sell the H22a (i think he is selling because of the thing about motor discounts in his sig or he might be putting it in the civic, if that is even possible)

f0de I cant belive this n00b is trying to call you out all im gonna say is Mr 98cl you got a whole lot to learn before you go running your mouth f0de is one of the OGs along wit me and many many others (sorry for those not listed just don't have the time right now)

1. ls/vtech is more than worth it you just can't really use the car as a daily driver.
2. f0de has a ferio and the h22a post the pics f0de and shut this little n00b up.
3. Don't come on the board and think your the shit and call people out if thats your style you will never never get respect.
4. we all use this board to help one another not start fights.

f0de shut him up once and for all or 98 just apologize for making asumptions without the facts and let it be over and done with.

can we ALL get back to the point here....and someone tell us how to install a vtec light.....i think it would be a hoot too.......i know when my vtec kicks in, just thinking the light would be fun........heres another example no one puts down.......for those with stick, they (((usually))) know when to change gears, but still go out and buy the big tach's with shift lights just so the llight can tell em to shift.......i understand for racing purposes...but we all know not everyone that has a big tach races.....am i right?....so if you guys wanna fight over f0de's siero, post a new thread, but if anyone has info on how to install a vtec engagement light.....i'd be interested, and appreciate it if you would POST UP!......thanks!

..obviously i did a motor swap on a sir, its Right hand drive, and it was imported from japan.. the b16 was sold with a stock lsd for 2500 bucks.. to put an h22a in it with over 10 grand into it.. wtf made you think i had 2 motors in it.. and secondly.. speed dosn't last.. so if you want to go fast.. don't plan to do it with one engine, and one turbo, and one set of axles.. i have 2 of everything for this car.. and ls/vtec not worth it? thats why ppl run 7's with them.. screw all your articles.. make a honda run 7's as a daily driver without blowing a few motors up.. won't happen. and if you actually knew half of what your talking about.. you'd know that if you did an ls/vtec right, it'll last you a lot longer then your average ls/vtec motor.. instead of just slapping a head on a motor and bolting it down.. theres oil problems that you need to address and coolant issues as well, if your in the area of new jersey, come down to visit me then talk shit when your ass is handed to you by a "bluff" of a car, and then handed to you by an ls/vtec.. seriously, get over 30 posts before trying to insult someone

ooooh 7s with an LS/VTEC all motor....yeaaah id like to see that shit.. ok so you DO have a Ferio...so what? yeah i have a stock 98 LS, i dont care, i could give a flying fuck, i know my car isnt fast...but i know this damn well that an all motor LS/VTEC even with a turbo CANNOT possibly run 7s w/o some major port and machining work plus nitrous and a totally diff fuel management system...ok, bikes dont run 7s smart guy, and id LOOVE to see u run an R6, youd have your ass handed to you....and this talk that im a "newbie" on this site??? hahaha wtf? are u so discontent with yourself that you have an online persona? and youre "THE SHIT" on this site? its the godamn internet man, get a fucking life..... Its fuckers like you that surf the internet, join boards and get this online what would you call......"EGO" and think youre the shit, cuz u have what you would think a FAST car? when you probably did nothing but WATCH someone do the shit for you....but give you the technical aspects of it, and TELL you what it can or cannot do.....I see your egotisical comments on certain posts...again, get a life. Im sorry if i offended the "OG"

hahaha you make me laugh....riceboy, last time i checked, it was spelled VTEC, not VTECH, i have one of those VTECH's, yeah i use it as a phone...
and all this ONLINE RESPECT SHIT??? hahahaha get a life geek, there is life outside the internet, in case you were wondering..
and your 4th point, i wasnt trying to start a "fight" i was simply implying that you cannot have an H22a in a JDM Ferio, but also have an SiR.......if u got the fucking H22a in your damn Ferio.....call it a damn JDM Ferio with an H22a, dont try to act all technical cause you THINK you know what the fuck youre talking about...
