That's the issue and need any ideas that may help, because this is my only car and don't have the money to replace the compressor.
So need a solution to get me to and from till I get it fixed.

in researching for you; Ive found that many people delete the a/c. they measure the new length by either using string or using your old serptine belt .
I cant give you an exact length, BECAUSE the info is scattered among different cars...I found info for the 2nd gen TL and the 3rd gen TL and the new length is different for both cars!
the 2nd gen TL had to use a 55inch belt
and the third gen TL uses a 70 or 71 inch belt.
but both stated that you had to use the shortest available belt

draw it out, if necessary
Hey all,
Will be spending the few months on Casual with the AF and during that time will be commiting the TL to track duty only. I've been searching around and I haven't found anyone that's actually removed the AC system from a TL. I really don't see any reason why it wouldn't be doable (in theory obviously lol). Just wanted to post up a belt diagram I found and get your thoughts on it. Basically I would just shorten the belt up and route it right from the crank pulley to the idler instead of going to the AC compressor.
Hopeful solution
Pretty sure I got all this right but I can edit if necessary.
