Just wondering if anybody did that swap? If so what's did you have to do? Do you use the same mounts or you need to do some custom stuff?

V6 wont fit different bay ...... get H22A (prelude engine) i m sure everyone would tell you a same thing

since we are talkin bout swaps how much is a prelude engine and how much to have it installed. how much hp does a h22a have anyway.

Thanks that's what I wanted to know I already have a H22 but I don't have a CL. I was just wondering if a V6 could fit in my car since they seem to have the same mount has the CL from what I've read here

talk to f0de about getting an engine he is from NJ so not that far away from MD i think it will run you like 2-3g's and 1g to install . Prices vary from place to place

Why do you want to put a SOHC J30 in your prelude its about the same as your DOHC H22A, except for the fact that your H22A has more mods and is faster.............

Unless, you found a way to drop the 3.2 CL/TL Type S or the 3.5 RL engine into the trunk, Ive never scene a prelude trunk so that might not even work. Prelude Engines run from around $1000-$2000 if you can find a drunk redneck junk yard owner In Bum Fuck Egypt. Otherwise be prepared to pay between $2,800 for the older ones and $3800 for the JDM engine

I don't really want to do it I was just wondering if it was possible, we get a lot of those engine swap question on the Prelude forums and I saw somebody mentionning that the CL mounts were the same than the H22 so I thought if they are the same and you can do a 4cyl to 6cyl swap in the CL it should be possible in the Prelude too.

the h22a mounts are ALMOST the same as the 4cly there is a mount or 2 that have to be messed aournd with but nothin major ...

the 2.2/2.3 acura CL have the same exact mounts as the prelude...all preludes, 4cyl. accords & 4cyl. CL's have the same monuts....
i have the h22 in my cl 2.3 ...the motor drops rite in

If you want drunk rednecks who have know Idea what they have is worth. Hop on the old Blue Ridge Parkway it runs through several states on the east coast and in a lot of the areas particularly around Asheville, NC they dont really have access to Internet connections. So these guys have great parts just sitting in their junkyards for dirt cheap prices. Most of these guys think the mustang/camaro/corvette is where its at and have no idea, In fact In western north carolina were just now starting to see ricers.
