3.0 Cl Vs Scion TC
Ok so me and a friend at school got in to this big argument on whos car is better his stock scion tc or my stock 3.0 cl 
. Im thinking my car has more power and torque. So im wondering whos car is better spec wise at least???? so if any one know let me know cuz i think the CL is way better than the TC

Way more hp and torque than a TC, not to mention, leather, power, heated seats, and heated mirrors, yeah your 3.0 is way "better"

i was just thinking about posting about TCs vs 3.0s about 10 min ago on my drive here.
in all my experiences racing them, they beat me.
i've never been smoked by one, but i have yet to win.
i was at a stoplight tonight, didnt go off the line fast, but then i see that the tc behind me is really riding my ass, so i gun it.
he gets in the lane next to me, and slowly but surely pulls on me.
thing is, i was in D3 and at like 85mph when he passed me
if i was in D4, would he have past me way earlier, or would i have been able to keep upping my speed enough to keep him behind me?
i guess it's more of a general question about performance rather than cl vs tc
the guy who lives above me has a tc and i couldnt really keep up with that thing either (in D4)

Scions are strange. I don't think they sell them in Canada because I've only seen one or two. I think they're hideous. I'm not a toyota fan, so maybe that's why I think that. Lexus makes some sexy cars, but I think Toyota has become the most boring brand out there... They need some more chutzpah!

Theres the factory specs of the cl, with a 0-60 of 8 seconds.

so i dont know about the 3.0 destroying it hp isnt everything, the tc is a lot lighter so i wouldnt say stuff when do u dont know it

haha look at the quarter mile time recorded by the source of that cl's 0-60 time
are you sure this is an accurate source?
1/4 Mile (E.T.) 86 seconds @ 17 mph

im pretty sure its just backwards. 17 seconds at 86 mph, i checked a few other websites and they all said 8 seconds, couple said 8.5 so im pretty sure its right

im still baffled about how fast they are.
comparing them to a 03 rsx-s they have the same 1/4 mile time but yet the rsx-s weighs 2767lbs, has 200hp dohc 16valve.
but yet the scion weighs 200lbs more, has 60hp less but 20 more tq. and yet it runs a 15.1 like the 03 rsx-s.

sorry i couldnt except the fact that a 160hp 3000lb car could run a 15.1 stock so i had to find the source of which the 15.1 came from.

If you're driving an automatic Cl, the TC (manual) will beat you in a 1/4 mile but you'll have him on take-off. Also, though the Tc is fast, the Cl has no problem catching back up over a longer period of time...been there tried that.

sorry. the manual tc will take the automatic off the line. and to 60, the cl might hang with it, but the tc will slowly pull away. I guess your right astruab the cl will eventually catch up, but thats gonna be a a couple miles down the road , only becasue the scion will cut the gas at 125, while the cl will go to 135
