Are 1st gen CL rims interchangeable?
2 of my '97 stock rims are damaged and the tire guy at costco couldn't balance the tires because of it. i don't like them anyway and found a used set of '99 cl stock rims for a good price. i can use those, right?

all the CL's and all the 94-97 accords have 4x114.3 bolt pattern
in 98 they changed the v-6 accords to 5x114.3 (like the CL typeS)
all the while the 98+ 4 cyl accords remained the same bolt pattern.
what is funny is that the 98, 99 CL's got the brakes from the 98+ 4cyl accords, which were better configured than the 94-97. follow me?
now, all of the 3.0 CL's use the brakes from the 94-97 6cyl accord station wagon. so if you have a 3.0 and are looking to upgrade, you have to use the v-6 accord wagon brakes.
hope i didnt confuse anyone.

I don't know about the 2.2 and 2.3's but my 97' 3.0 has a 4 lug pattern. I found that out when I ordered some rims and the guy who I bought it for said that in the tire and wheel manual it said 5 lugs. The 98' and up 3.0's have 5 lugs. Hope this helps.

No, ALL 1997-1999 Acura CLs (2.2/2.3/3.0) have 4 x 114.3 lug pattern. NO First Gen CL is a 5-lug.
ONLY the 1998-2002 Accord V6 is a 5-lug. The 1998-2002 Accord 4-cylinder is a 4-lug pattern.
The 2001-2003 CL and 1999-2003 TL (both Premium and Type 'S') are 5-lug patterns.
The 1994-1997 Accords are ALL 4-lug patterns.
EDIT: dcsquirm88: you beat me to it! :P
