Looks like a waste of money to me... I can think of a lot better ways to spend $400 and get about the same if not more power...

Even if it does work as claimed. you are only looking at a 5-6 hp increase. And it dosnt make any claims on torque.

LOL 1psi...
All it turns out to be is a blower fan to aerate the engine bay of a boat...
Do it if you want to spend that much. You can find the blowers for like $20

You're better off putting a filter on your hairdryer and blowing it into your IM

Well shoot, if you're going to do that, why not get one of those industrial floor dryers, or a leaf blower... I'm sure that'd add like 50hp...

Personally, I still like my leaf blower idea... That way, it's controllable how much air you get... Or BlackAck's monster floor dryer...

i cant imagine. well ive been encountering a bunch of guys that have been into the honda game for years PM me on Honda Tech saying how they bought CL's and asking for advice and tips so maybe we'll start getting some knowledgable people WHO HAVE MONEY and can do some nice builds.

money isnt easy to come by...thats why i sell drugs to kids for discounted prices.

nah just playin. some people are into different things though. might not be in the build aspect of the game but maybe for the show. like for me i dont want to turn my car into a ferrari...i just want to get the parts that will give me some boost but not too much. i mean its not like im ever going to need 300+ hp on my cl. i just want something that i like and im comfortable with. i guess im more show but whatever.

like all you folks that do nice engine swaps and put turbos in your car and shit like that..i mean its koo..but this site isnt just about that right? i thought this was, more or less a general site

well in theory its not about that. but when people are content with doing nothing to their CL post whore without having any knowledge or nothing to show for thats when this site becomes boring and unappealing. im not saying thats you, it just seems to be the way things are going around here. not enough true honda enthuiasts here anymore.

I think this is a well rounded site you got your vets which I am not one of them but I know what I am doing. You also have your noobs llike myself and the guy's that still have nipples in there mouth. We all have to start at a point of modding this is a very good site to start from. When sombody has somethin stupid to say or do sombody like yourself is alway's around to put your 2 pennies in........ Which is why this site exists and will always exist plus this is the nicest setup site I have ever typed on. Cus I am on almost all of them. this is the only pplace I post pics and ask questions. My two pennies

its a N00b friendly site which is important. and just a friendly site in general.

just wish there was more tech and build threads like there use to be.

actually i guess i feel the same way. i mean im not saying that im not a newb cause its not like i contribute a WHOLE lot to this site. i DO see a lot of dumb ass threads with questions that can easily be answered through the search function but it just seems like a lot of the more non tech people get scared off cause of the techy folks..(ethenol are you kidding? dude you got two monsters under your hood and you call yourself a newb? )

anyway to tell you the truth i see a lot of people with crazy ass builds and i read them to get my jolly's off and shit but i dont think its a boring site (people like 972, chris, cocoa make sites like this interesting with the clowning ...but i see where you guys are coming from...okay...sorry to steal the thread...

to get back on track...1psi? you freaking kidding me? my shit comes out of my ass with 1psi of boost...i see the point of these stupid supercharger things and hell ive even purchased one (actually traded for one) and put it in my car. worst purchase of my life. if you want real boost take a look at some of the real projects and ask questions. these blower things are only good for drying hair and your dogs fur

I agree with ghost and ethanol. Love the way the site is set up. I'm a member of several other car sites, and hate the way it's setup. And I also agree with the need for more tech threads. The problem starts with the fact the car is not known of, nor raced by bigger companies. But that's also the only reason why I stick around.

werd, 3 year production run ftl. i'd love to get more out of this site, but dial-up kinda limits the amount of time i can spend here, so i probly miss alot of good threads.

as for the electric supercharger, i did some research on it and i think this would be your best bet:

it's an r/c jet fan unit. i figure if you get the appropriate ESC for it you should be able to get the signal from the TPS. this particular unit generates 2lbs of thrust at 12v drawing 35A; which isn't that bad if the thing actually works. i have no idea how to figure out how 2lbs of thrust equates to psi.

auction is over but there's the link so you can see the specs: http://cgi.ebay.ca/RC-Brushless-moto...QQcmdZViewItem

So i just bought one...just kidding. ya i had a feeling that the price was just a LITTLE steep. I was more concerned if it would actually work. Thanks guys. I think i am going to get some headers instead.

That's where I'm at right now, but there are always gonna be n00bs, and kids getting a CL wanting to put an intake in it, I accepted that 5 years ago, but it's guys like etho and cocoa, dainf, arber and ghost that keep this site interesting in my book. A lot of people give up and move on to other cars, and while I don't blame them, it makes me want to keep my CL all the more
