Window Tint in Florida

Would like to get window tinted on both TL I own.

What is the best brand of tint film to use on my TLX?

Any recommendation for installers in Boca Raton (South Florida area)?

Thanks

The tinter I have used for the last 15 years and about 10 cars (mine and my wife's) uses Llumar exclusively. I have not had a single issue over that period...no bubbles, no peeling. Part of that is due to the quality of the person doing the work, but much is due to the quality of the material. I always go with 15% (quite dark) and it has a significant effect on lowering cabin temperature during the extremely hot months. I will continue to use this tint company and Llumar film going forward.

What is the name of the place in Orlando? How much does it cost? Thanks

I was quoted $159 with a lifetime warranty with Llumar film. Is it a reasonable?

Llumar offers 3 grades of tint--dyed, metallized and ceramic--ceramic being most expensive. You would need to be specific about which grade of tint you were quoted. I always go with ceramic due to increased heat rejection properties, in addition to it supposedly causing no interference with GPS, cell signals, etc. I pay around $220 with a lifetime warranty. I would be surprised if you were quoted the ceramic tint at $159. If you were, that's a great deal.

The company I use is a mobile tinter, so they come right to my office or home, which maybe accounts for a slight price increase. They are called A-Action Mobile Tinting. I believe they only serve the Central Florida area.

It is very helpful regarding grades, I just asked the guy that question.

So I got a quote for ceramic film of $400 for 2 cars done at the same time same location (he is a mobile installer).
Thanks

Though I can't speak from experience, I've heard 3M Crystaline is good stuff: https://www.3m.com/3M/en_US/company-...2716668&rt=rud

Good tinter

Rick Case in Plantation Florida has an outside guy who has a stall in the dealership. He is located on State Road 7.

Call Angel directly at (954) 240-5631.

I had my 2015 TLX and 2016 TLX tinted by this guy. I got legal tint.

I just got my 2019 TLX on Thursday. I have an appointment next week to get tinted on my 3rd TLX.

I think I paid $125 on the 2016. Had no issues or blur over the three years I had it.

tlxsteve.

p.s. - Need to update my signature line.

Yes, I talk to Angel. He is using American Standard film and I cannot get any info about it. Please post pictures of '19 tint, my '17 is the same color.

Thanks.
