I know not same car but similar engine and I've been running one on my 2008 Odyssey without issue going on 3 years. No check engine light, if I was in your shoes I wouldn't hesitate to run on a TLX....but I own a 4 cyl so don't need one.

I’ve been running an orange resistor on my 2018 TLX A-Spec since new, about a year ago.

Hi Ogiedon,

Are you in the northern part of the US or somewhere in Canada ? I received an "Orange" one, with like a white top, looks to me like Orange and white. It was outside the bag of resistors.
All other one were describe on the sheet with their values (blue, brown, red, etc.) That orange and white was not ??
I will write them to see the value of it .

Thanks.

I am actually in North Carolina. I used an OBD2 scan tool to monitor my coolant temperature with the stock red and blue resistors. Neither produced ideal results, so I emailed Verbatim, who suggested the orange resistor.

The interesting part that I never knew existed and wonder if this would work on my 18 ASPEC TLX V6 as I just want the car to stop lugging the motor while cruising. I did this on my Durango 5.7L but through a tuner and worked perfect, can this be confirmed to work on the TLX?
How do we know which color to use or is there a list of what color does what etc?
