Can one add a cargo net to the TLX or does it come with one? Is a trunk liner an option and does the TLX have all weather mats or the traditional carpet type?

I think the net comes with it but the trunk liner and all weather mats are extra

4 cyl Tech--no net, and it's not listed in the Accessory brochure.

'Correct on the mats and liner (tray). The local dealer puts the "Protection Package II" on all of them, trunk tray, wheel locks, and f&r splash guards. "No charge" on the sticker, but obviously there is.

See what the dealer will do for you then check on WeatherTech. They make most of the liner packages for new cars in the USA & are OEM suppliers.

Correct. There is currently no net for the V6 either, but there are optional cargo hooks. The car comes standard with removable carpet mats and most dealers will throw in the all weather mats.

I add hooks to my cars. I have 4 bag hooks in my Accord and will probably put 4 in my TLX.. it just makes it so handy to hang grocery bags from.

The cargo hooks are around $12 US with installation at around $123 US. I got them to knock off the install charge because it was so crazy.

The cargo hooks are great to hold bags upright even when turning the corners. I also got the spare tire kit and trunk mat. Figured I might as well spend my $500 allotment.

I purchased mats and trunk liner with my new TLX and while the factory mats are just fine if I had it to do all over again I'd get my mats from WeatherTech instead. Their mats are heavier and deeper, which is very useful in winter.

Not impressed with the cargo hooks. You have to bend down and look up to hook things on them and unhooking full grocery bags is difficult. I had several on each hook yesterday and ended up ripping the handles on the plastic bags because it was easier than getting them off the hooks.

Very true. I lost a lot of bags that way.

I think it takes a while to get the hang of unhooking the bags. I am doing better after a couple months of practice.

Really off topic, but have you considered cloth shopping bags, a "save the planet project" to eliminate plastic shopping bags?

Try looping across the rears of the hooks only, that will keep the bags from rolling fwd on stops (shouldn't be gassing it otherwise) and might be easier to remove.

I found that tearing the cloth bags from the hooks was difficult.

Does someone have a photo of how the hooks are attached in the trunk and what they look like with a cloth shopping bag.

You can install two of them. Normal plastic grocery bags do not reach the trunk floor when hanging. The cloth bags I use hang nicely, but that would depend on the bag.

I definitely recommend these, but get two. I have also found some dividers that velcro to the trunk rug and make good dividers. There is another thread somewhere that discusses this.

Here are a couple of (not so great) pics I just snapped during lunch. I've got two of them - one on each side of the light. You can see from the second pic how the bag hangs although it's a mostly empty bag so not the best representation. Nonetheless - there you go!

Does anyone know if the cargo net accessory offered on the ILX can be bought and put on the TLX?

Makes no sense why the cheaper entry-model has an accessory that the more expensive vehicle doesn't.

As I changed out my TLX carpet mats for my TLX all weather mats (or Spring and Fall as I use them), I am again struck by the quality of both. I appreciate how much easier the carpet mats are to keep clean than regular one level pie such as my Altima's. The sides and fit of the rubber mats are the best I have seen.

Been considering this for a while now and while I'm unique to the issue (shopping for a stroller) I realized I'd rather use the under compartment to carry over small stuff I don't want rolled over in the trunk. Hooks, Nets, and even the old TL trunk "drawer" you can get for $140 or so on eBay seemed like a clean idea but the cleanest is always whatever keeps the edges smooth for easy slide in/out.
