Turned in TLX today

I returned my TLX today and picked up my A5 sportback. This forum was helpful when I got my car. It was time for a change though. I will keep following Acura and see what the future holds.

Would also be interested in your review, and what you liked/dislikes compared to the TLX.

Nice car!!! Love the A5 sportback. What package and options did you get? And I agree with everyone, let us know your thoughts on it in comparison to the TLX. TLX is probably gonna pale in comparison but still worth hearing There's a reason why all the reviewers give glowing reviews for the A5

Prestige
monsoon gray
includes virtual cockpit and bang and olfusen
I got the highest package for 360 camera
I didn’t add anything else I think the wheels and seats are just fine
I have to do a lot do studying in the manual to set up features

Answer to Acura review, at the time I felt I wanted to upgrade from Honda and Toyota and Acura was a bargain. TLX was comfortable and had good acceleration but there was a little big of a lag even in sport mode. Things I didn’t like is that the car was oil hungry and also really didn’t like the interface.

I wanted a turbo engine in next car and all wheel drive. Acura new diamond grill is a major turn off.

Loving the A5 Sportback. When my TLX lease is done, I'm looking to go in the direction of a sportback. Increased cargo capacity and drives like a sedan... what's not to like? I could even do something like the A4 Allroad which pretty much drives like the A4 sedan despite a slightly higher ground clearance. I would love to see a TLX sportback for the next gen seeing that the new Accord kind of looks like one already.

Congrats on the new ride; she's a beaut!.

I'm going to take a wild guess that there are very few incentives on sportbacks....Demand is high for them both in A5 & S5 trim.

I think I see more A5/S5 Sportbacks than A4/S4... and the 4 had a year head start on the 5.

And with the virtual cockpit you get all of these options for the gauge display plus a lot more (not to mention a heads up display in the windshield with the Prestige package)

Agree. Think Audi is the current tech leader in the virtual cockpit. BMW has one now (2018) which is pretty nice but the Audi system looks to have more features.

BMW has variations by drive mode & speedo/tach can be reconfigured.

Was your TLX 3.5 SH-AWD? How is the acceleration and AWD in 2.0T compared to the one in Acura? How is the transmission? I have heard that 2.0T has a bit of a lag of the line? Thanks for sharing!
