Yeah. I've seen the dyno from the JB4 on the 3.0t. Very nice indeed. I was looking at getting a pre-owned Q50 or TLX. Nothing new. The JB4 is only like $400-500. 15min install and I'm at Red Sport numbers. That I love. But my only question would be about the reliability of the JB4 after having it installed. And normally, tunes help better fuel economy. Not sure if that would be the same for the JB4. Have some more things to look up.

Depends on the driver. My sister has the 2017 Pilot. They're rated at 27hwy/19 City. She's getting 26 inside the city in D.C. which is crazy. Same for other customers of mine. All depends on how you drive.

Agree, looked at a few years & did not see the SHAWD having better numbers then the FWD. That's the reason I asked; to see if it was a one time thing. The EPA once again has changed test standards in the middle of the TLX G1 series production run.
Can't really see people taking these numbers as reality.

Sorry. Average. But then again, she doesn't do much highway driving. She sent me a pic of it.
I don't doubt it since she had the 2016 Accord V6 Touring and sent me a pic of the 40mpg/highway she was getting when those are rated at 33mpg highway.
I never do. They're a good basis to go off of. But from what all my customers are telling me, they're getting better fuel economy than what's advertised. Honda has been like that lately. Like the power numbers on the Accord. It's been noted that they're putting down more power to the wheels than what Honda says.
SOOOOOOO nice. I can't afford no Red Sport tho. Lol. I'm starting to think more and more about keeping the TL and throwing a supercharger on it. Then get the Q50 Sport and DD it with some nice wheels, exhaust, lowering springs and the JB4.

I wouldn't bother supercharging the TL... It's an old car, likely with little gremlins here and there... Now you're dumping several thousands into it, but by the end of the day, it's still an old platform no matter how you look at it... Unless you dump serious money into it. Yeah, you got 60-70hp more now... Bit you still have a dent here and there, scratch here and there, scuffs and scrapes on the inside, maybe worn leather, or this not working properly, or that... Etc... It's just putting lipstick on a pig.
You are also going to impact reliability. There's no two ways about it. And being your DD, that's not the best idea. It's one thing if it's just a toy...
I was talked out of supercharging by one of our members (Gus- I don't remember his user name). He started breaking down some numbers for me, and for the power gain, at this point in the car's life, it's not really worth it. You'd be much happier in something newer without little gremlins, with more power to boot.
If you can't afford what you want right now- keep saving. Prices will continue to drop on barely used cars, and you'll have more saved up. If you have to wait another year, so be it. It's better to be patient and get what you really want, as opposed to looking for instant gratification right now. Keep the TL as is. Enjoy it for what it is. Save for something better.

You're right. Prices will continue to drop on those two vehicles. By the time I get one of the two, I'll have the TL paid off and enough money set aside to do what I need to. This is a....two year plan. I looked for 4 years before I finally decided on the 3rd gen TL for my car after the 04 TSX. The TL will be a toy. The TLX/Q50 will be the DD.
The power gain on it? I know a supercharger doesn't gain much power wise. It gives the car the torque that it didn't have before. Not looking for crazy numbers. The same with the Q50/TLX. Once you start hitting the 400+ range, that's asking for nothing but trouble for me. Lol. I don't mind modding old cars.
