Should I buy a used 2015 tlx elite sh-awd?
im thinking of selling my tl type s 6mt in blue. I know I can get some good $$, and after 10yrs and 175,000kms, I think it will get more expensive. I keep reading about the transmission issues in the 2015-16. But I found a white aspec that looks great. Any opinions?

Honestly keep your car until it falls apart. I have access to all 3 versions of the TL and the Type S is the TRUE sports version. If you really want a TLX, please get the 18 Aspec since 15s are just not worth it. There's a reason why they're cheap to buy.

Pretty much any first model car including the 2015 TLX will have some issues. I purchased mine in late 2014. Yes, it had the transmission problem, but Acura gave me a free loaner and replaced the transmission. The vehicle comes with the standard 4 year 50,000 mile warranty & 6 year 70,000 mile warranty on the power train. If you have the extended warranty, that could take you past 10 years or 100,000 miles. Only you can decide if you want to save money and get a 2015 or spend quite a bit more and get a new model. In the almost 3 years of ownership, I've had it in the dealership for one problem (the transmission) and one problem only which was fixed to my satisfaction. I think it is a fantastic vehicle and love driving it.

Hi,
I would strongly recommand that you test the vehicule before buying it. A lot of us are getting multiple problems relating to vibrations on highway (between 110 and 120 KM/H) and transmission shifting.
I currently own a 2016 TLX V6 SH-AWD with the mentionned issue and currently having a lot of problem with Acura Canada that did work on my car and fixes about 85% of the vibrations but they are saying that the remainnig vibrations enter in the Acura specs and limitation of the car. This is incredible, own the car for 10 months now and not using it (only 3500 Km) and half of the mileage done testing the car.
Be carefull before buying.
Thanks Mickey

I wouldn't buy any 2015 TLX since even a test drive may not show all the flaws/issues. Try to get something newer if you really want a TLX.
