Hello guys I'm new to the forum I just purchased a 2019 TLx a spec I'm not sure if it's just me or if I'm to picky but my car only has 275 miles and the leather has gotten creases lines wrinkles whatever they might call them I'm not an expert is this normal?

Mine were like that after a day or 2, a bit disappointed in how the leather is put together and holding up. I may wait a few months to see how it goes, then head to dealer. Reminds me of my 3G where they replaced the drivers seat leather due to all the sagging and creasing. I think some of it is poor fit at factory as my passenger seat was used twice and looks like that since new. Drivers seat looks a tad worse than your pic.

I got a call from the sales consultant that sold it to me a couple of days ago he asked how the car was I said I loved it I don't have any issues except I mentioned the leather told him about how it's getting he said acura has premium leather and so on but he also said if its getting worse to bring it in that way they can look at it only bad thing is I have to drive three hours!

So far, none; hard to judge because, I basically drive on weekends; maybe 5-700 miles per month

Softer leather I guess. Looks like normal wear to me.

leather is going to wear as soon as you start sitting in it. Your best bet is to regularly condition your leather. You can buy a leather conditioner product anywhere they sell automotive detail products. Apply liberally, let it absorb into the leather, then remove all excess. You should do it twice a year as regular upkeep. Doing it a bit more will help preserve the leather longer.

It doesn't make it indestructible, but it makes it soft and gives it the oils or whatever to keep it supple and will keep your creases down over time.

I don't know what causes this to happen so soon, but, I had a 2016 370z Nismo with the factory Recaro racing seats in it. I drove that car about 4000 miles per year. And my passenger seat had a bunch of creases already forming, when there was almost no one ever in that seat. There was a passenger in the car for maybe a combined 2500 miles. The passenger seat actually looked worse than the driver's seat. I don't know what kind of leather was used on the recaro seats, but suffice to say that the seat leather was not cheap. They replaced the top half of my leather on the driver's seat (completely unrelated issue), and it had to go through an approval process because it cost something like almost 4k CDN to replace :what:

Funny thing is, I conditioned that leather too, but the creases happened on the passenger side anyway. I really think it's unavoidable.

I've conditioned mine a few times, just have normal lines. I did get a brown leather transfer from my belt in the back of the seat, this was on the graystone leather.

Looks normal to me. I wouldn't fret too much about it. If in 3 or 4 months it's substantially worse, which I don't think it will be, I would take it in then maybe.

Totally normal.
The wear and creases won't be uniform from car to car.
It somewhat depends on the cut and fit of the leather covers over the foam filler.

Also body type, weight distribution, and clothing worn all make a difference on wear patterns on a seat.

Don't bother. It likely won't get worse, especially if you take care of the leather with cleaner and conditioner.

So back again this time its a little worse to me i would like peoples opinion on this if its normal all the saggyness thats is going on? Especially when i do the front seats extender car has 5k

OP, to me your leather wear looks normal and I have never seen leather not crease immediately.

The more I see them the more I start to appreciate the Alcanta seats. How do you like them?

Love mine. They were a bit firm in the beginning but now are worked in. They are aging great after two years of use. Also, you don't cook in the summer and don't freeze your ba**s off in the winter.

Nice! That's a big appeal to me and my black leather in the heat and then in the winter is not fun.

I still love them. Easy to clean, and the wear at now 25 months into lease is the same as the picture you quoted, which I took at 14 months.

My wife's 2014 Nissan Altima SL has minimal creases because the leather has a sort of "plasticized coating", kind of like an entry level Audi leather seat. Soft leather is more comfortable but typically has more creases/indentations. Don't sweat it.

I love leather (especially the leather in my TLX). Leather....ANY leather, will crease and stretch (just like skin, which is essentially, what it is). Some people like the worn look of leather (me being one of them). Some want it to stay perfectly ”non creased” (that will never happen with leather).

Your leather looks fine. A year from now, 2 years from now, etc, it will look different than it does today.

Enjoy the car, and the seats, as I think they’re some of the best seats in the biz.
