Rear bumper upgrade

My wife was rear ended a few days ago in my 2017 tlx with an aero kit. The rear bumper and quarter are destroyed.
I’m thinking of upgrading to non aspec + aero or aspec.
Any recommendations? Should I stick with the pre facelift?

I think I know what to do:
- facelift bumper+aero kit
- magnaflow 14815 mufflers
- roof painted black
anyone got pictures of stock tlx exhaust piping? I want to see if there is an x pipe.

If you can't get a picture look up Acura exhaust replacement parts

Thanks for the hint. The search results come up with the the AWD and TL info...oh well.
I already spoke to the shop about the bumper change, and exhaust.
They don't do exhaust, but told me they can send it out to get it done.

Instead of painting the roof black you could do a wrap. Something like this: https://www.azragips.com/acura-tlx-r...eme-wrap-film/

True, but I don't think the auto body shop has the skills in-house, which will make it more difficult to pull of without extra cost.
I'm not 100% decided on the black roof yet.

Definitely go with the facelift bumper + aero kit.

Your car already has the front and side add-on pieces, so a 2-piece rear would flow better (and would be more rare/unique vs. all the A-spec's out there in addition to the quad exhaust).

I want to +1 the idea of wrapping the roof. It’s less expensive than painting, is easier to correct if there’s an issue, and is reversible should you change your mind. A white TLX would look OK with a black roof IMO. Good luck on your project and report back!

Spoke to the auto body shop about my plan, everything seems within insurance budget, except the black roof. I didn't even bother with this.
The face lift rear bumper, and skirt have been ordered. The car will be sent to an exhaust shop once the body is fixed. The insurance budgeted for the left muffler replacement, since it took a hit. This should cover the custom exhaust.
I also have budget for an alignment, so I think I'll put on the lowering springs at the same time.
The entire rear quarter panel will be replaced from the door all the way to the tail lights.

Poor car...didn't realize the extend of repair. It's a big job, even the rear glass had to come out.

Yeah, it is a big job. I saw an '18 TLX A-Spec at my dealership that had been rear-ended by a truck or SUV and since the bumpers didn't match up it pushed in the trunk lid a little and fubar'd both rear quarters. The owner had it for something like two weeks prior to that happening and insurance totaled it due to the unibody damage being to costly to repair.

The lead time on the PDC is 4-6 weeks, WTF?
The repair work has resumed after the Christmas brake, another week or two and it should be finished.

Getting close to finished product, it should be done mid next week. Although the AERO skirt package hasn't arrived yet. I'll also have to take it to the exhaust shop myself.
The PCD delivery time was way off, it has already been delivered. I just have to go pick it up.

It's finally done, I'm missing the left reflector. It came in cracked, and the replacement is back ordered. It should be here at the and of January.
I just have to get the exhaust sorted out, it's way to loud under 4K RPM.

Nice! So refreshing to see something other than the ubiquitous Aspec and pre-MMC bumpers. The quad tips also look less than the Aspec coffee can tips IMO. Just need a V6T in there now to complete the Type-S transformation

I'm very happy with the way it came out. The white facelift bumper with black valance and the quad tips coupled with the aero kit give it just the right balance of sportiness and classiness. I chose 3" tips over 3.5" to keep it more factory looking. The only problem now is exhaust tuning, it's just way to loud, partially due to the RV6 catless downpipe. But I do have to say that the butt dyno indicates an increase in power, and no loss of torque.
