Questions-Buying a 2015 TLX
I drove an Advanced and loved it, but 27K out the door is more than I have budgeted. I can get a four cylinder tech for about 21K. I have read reviews that say the 4 cylinder car is a better driving car than the 6 cylinder. I would like the better mileage, but I am used to the V-6 in my 2003 TL. What do you think? I have never driven the AWD, and I am wondering if that would be worth the reduced mileage. Normally not a lot of snow here in NC, but we did have one of ten inches last month. I have a feeling that I will buy whatever tickles my fancy on that particular day. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I have a theory. If someone is a V6 person they will never be completely satisfied driving a naturally aspirated 4 cylinder.
The 2.4 TLX has the better transmission, and has just over 200 hp which is plenty spunky IMO, but it will never provide the low end grunt or smoothness of a V6.

Well, I drove a 15 TLX I-4 with tech today. Played with the different modes and the paddles. I think that I made the sales guy a little nervous. I was stomping on the accelerator and weaving in and out of traffic a bit in downtown Durham. Overall, I think that I can get used to the I-4 and the better mileage. It was pretty quick and had plenty of pick-up. Shifts were nice and firm. It had 47K miles on it and there were a couple of bad scratches, but overall in pretty good shape. Price was $20,300 (not bad), but I think that I want a lower mileage one. I located a similar one with only 16K on it, and they were asking $22,000. I'll check that one out next.

I test drove the 4cyl and was impressed, but the lack of power is what bugged me. It was super responsive and handled well, no doubt, but coming from a 07 TL, I wanted the power and smoothness of a v6 again

Are you selling because you are not happy with it, or are you just wanting something newer? I think that I have decided that I can go with either the I-4 or V6. The I-4 seems quicker, but the V6 gives that feeling of an almost unlimited top-end. I guess that it will just depend on the price, overall condition, the package, the mileage and how I am feeling on that particular day.

I am selling it because I am getting a new car style and my car is arriving soon on order
