Supposedly, they'll pay off the last 3 remaining payments of your AHFL
Has anyone utilized this deal?

Acura Pull Ahead & Lease End Program | Bill Vince?s Bridgewater Acura

FAQs

What is the AFS Acura Pull Ahead Program?

The AFS Acura Pull Ahead Program is an Acura Owner loyalty offer that targets existing, RL, TSX, RDX and MDX lease customers. Customers in good standing are sent a pre-approval offer from AFS along with a waiver for up to three (3) remaining payments when they sign a new AFS lease, retail or Acura Leadership Purchase Plan (LPP) Contract.

How is AFS contacting customers about the Pull Ahead Program?

AFS is mailing qualified customers an offer letter followed by a direct mail piece 120 days prior to maturity date. In addition to the mailed offer, American Honda Finance Corporation (AHFC) Lease Maturity Center (LMC) representatives will promote the Pull Ahead Program to qualified clients via customer phone calls to discuss the opportunity to work with the Pull Ahead Program. Bill Vince’s Bridgewater Acura is also contacting clients to discuss options for lease end.

Do customers have to sign new AFS lease contracts to qualify for Pull Ahead benefits?

Qualified customers can sign a new AFS lease, retail or LPP contracts on any new Acura vehicle and get Pull Ahead benefits.

Do clients have to sign new AFS contracts on another ILX, TLX, RLX, RDX and MDX to get the Pull Ahead Program?

No. Qualified customers can choose any new Acura vehicle and get Pull Ahead benefits. They do not have to choose the same model they are currently driving.

if you are within 180 days of your lease ending, you qualify currently for the pull ahead. they will waive up to your last 3 payments. if you have more than 3 left then the dealership will work those payments into your next deal.

Just took advantage of it-MDX to MDX Hybrid. Another benefit is rounding up of unused miles to nearest 1,000. I had 2,050 unused miles and 3,000 were added to new lease. They also waive 4350 disposition fee.

$4350 disposition fee? And you were under mileage? How did that happen?

Interesting, Had unused mileage on my 435 turn in but did have to extend the lease 1 month waiting for the car to ship from Germany. Took a $500 payment for unused miles & waived disposition fee to lease through them.

I just received an offer like this from my Acura dealer..... I have 4 lease payments remaining.

However, I just hit my 60k mileage cap. And my car was rear ended over the summmer( completely repaired now)

i wonder if the excess miles and the accident would disqualify me from this program ? Has anyone else had this come up?

I’m also at 4 months to go, have repaired rear end damage and have excess miles on my 15 MDX. (Note: I was in the same predicament with my old 12 MDX as well.). Acura will forgive 7,500 miles provided provided you go into another lease or purchase through AFS and waive the final three. That said, we’re probably going to trade up to a leftover 17 MDX Tech this week.

I will probably 'pull away' my lease return by 3 months, bringing it to 39 mo instead of 36. The car has little mileage and the plan is stretch the use of my winter wheels a 4th year, until March 2019 instead of December 2018.

If Acura had had anything I liked I would have purchased, not leased, a new car on the pull-ahead program. Sadly, sedans are out because ingress/egress on a sedan is difficult for both my wife and me. That leaves SUVs. The MDX is way too big and expensive for our needs. We already have a '17 RDX Advance and we didn't need two of then. (Then my wife promptly announced that we don't need a second car since we're retired. We'll see about that.)

I don't understand the vast number of people on this forum who don't like their TLX. I appreciate everyone's opinion, but I must be in the minority here, as I thought my 2015 TLX was OK. I'm very happy with my 2018 A Spec and if improvements/upgrades are in the future would see this thread as very helpful. Just my two cents.

I’ve been very happy with my TLX. Zero issues.

The dealer told me to come back next month when I have 3 payments remaining, and they will waive all the excess miles if I lease a 2018 TLX.

When I straight up told him I was cross shopping the new Accord... he told me he can even lower my lease payment going forward. 👍

Ok, I just finished my pull ahead deal exchanging my 15 MDX Tech SH-AWD for a 17 MDX Tech SH-AWD, taking delivery this past Tuesday.

AFS waived my final three payments. In addition, not only did AFS forgive 7,500 Miles (standing offer for re-leasing/purchasing through AFS), AFS also waived another ~4,600 Miles. (If you’re doing the math, yes. We totally blew through our mileage allowance.). The 17 MDX being 5th Acura lease and 8th Honda lease probably helped a bit.

I used the pull-ahead program to lease my current TLX. The best things about the pull-ahead program are that if you have mileage left over from the Acura you are turning in, you can add it to the new lease, up to (I think) 20k miles. I had 13k leftover from my RLX lease at turn-in, so I was able to get a lower-mileage lease on the TLX, 10k/year. I therefore can drive 42k miles for the same price as a 10k/year lease. I think I got a decent deal.

Restrictions!!!

Hello all. I received the mailout from AFS.... was ready to take advantage of the program (I'm over mileage and have 3 payments left), and was excited about the 2019 RDX. As it turns out, Acura will not let you use the Pull Ahead program with the 2019 RDX. The bailout mentions nothing about model restrictions. This was very frustrating. The way I see it, Acura is simply not honoring an offer they sent to me.

I will start a thread regarding this also to see if anyone else has had the same experience.

Thank you for the heads up on that one. Does anyone know if this is a pre-existing practice with AFS?

I am close to taking advantage of this since I have 20K miles I over purchased on my 15 TLX so they will le me roll over 15K miles and waive my 3 remaining payments. This means they price my new lease as a 7500 mile price, but I wind up with 12.5K mile allowance per year. Now just to decide if I want the 19 AWD TLX ASPEC or the 18 RLX Hybrid.

Yes the rollover miles and pull ahead program is a nice perk offered by Acura when leasing.

That doesn’t make any sense. Why would Acura not want to use the program on the new RDX? It’s not like the RDX is going to be a rare and special unicorn. Acura is going to make as many as they can sell, and turning off loyal customers doesn’t seem the best plan. Just IMO

They don’t want to use it on the new RDX until inventory is plentiful and the 18s are gone. It costs them money to take you out early, but is worth it to them to keep you a captive customer. But right now the RDX is rather rare, dealers are charging close to MSRP and finding the model/color some people want will take a while. They also would rather take a car that they don’t have a lot of of and grab a new customer than give it to and existing customer. Give it 3-4 months and that will likely change. I recall when the 04 TLX first came out best I could get was $500 off and the car was inbound not even on the lot.

Keith, I fully understand that reasoning, but they should have included some language regarding that in the mailout I received.

I've used the program several times, great option. In fact when I leased my '18 A-Spec I was turning in a '16 RDX that had over $1K in damage to the driver's side door from some asshole in a parking lot. Also was 17K under mileage. Dealer could have cared less about the damage to the RDX, gave me a screaming deal on the TLX lease and added all the remaining miles. Very surprised Acura wouldn't allow the pull ahead on the new RDX - if they want as many of those things on the road as they can get it only makes sense. Maybe that was just a specific dealer that didn't want to play ball?

Couldn't agree more; I've used the program 3, or 4 times
When I leased my A-SPEC in December, the dealer, called me to remind me that I'm eligible
Negotiated my BEST ACURA lease EVER!
GREAT PROGRAM!

jacothdog, did the dealer tell you it won't work on an RDX? or Did AFS tell you directly? If it's the dealer call AFS directly, the dealer might be giving you the run around. It doesn't state anywhere about the Loyalty program being limited or restricted by model.

They should just have some generic disclaimer language that says it may exclude certain vehicles.

First the dealer told me, then Acura Client Relations confirmed it.
