and mind you, they are very ordinary to drive. Nothing inspiring, just competent and dull. I wouldn't have never said that about my old '86 Audi 5000TQ I owned for 7 years. I was an huge VW/Audi fan between late '70s up to '00 or so Then BMW won me for while.... until their zest factor went the same way as Audi.

Ok, well that's a modified car on a race track. Ain't no one gonna sell you a car like that, right from the factory. I'm guessing he had a really beefed up rear sway bar? The car is still prone to want to understeer. You can fuck with the suspension to make it oversteer, but, that's not for everyone. Your average driver would kill themselves.
I put my rear sway bar on my TL to the stiffest setting and it shows signs of wanting to oversteer when going into a corner, hammering the throttle and then lifting off the gas. But I did that purposely in that car. I love how it feels but it's something I have to be extra cautious with in the winter. Not that it loses control that easily, but, it can send the car out of control if you're not used to it, or don't expect it. Let's be honest- your average stock fwd vehicle isn't doing that. If I stay on the throttle through a corner and I'm hauling some serious ass, it will still understeer. Front wheels lose traction, and they just end up going straight.

I think that's the point though, manufacturers can play around with the suspension and what not to make a car oversteer, be it FWD, AWD, or RWD. As mentioned by others, while car companies can do that, they choose not to for liability reasons.

But he had an 86, that he actually liked, and now 32 years later in his opinion todays Audi's are crap or whatever he calls them? Yet they are more reliable today then they've ever been.. It makes no sense...
I can understand being sour towards a brand because I had a really bad experience with a new 2011 ML350. It was the biggest POS I ever owned that MBUSA bought back. And although I am still somewhat skeptical about buying an MB product in the future "I never say never" simply because things change, and my dealer treated me great throughout the entire process.
And all because my ML was a lemon doesn't mean all MB's are lemons.. That's just ignorant thinking.

He enjoys the debate. Not really actually debating just getting other people to write up a long post so he can TL;DR it to make up for getting picked on a lot in middle school and mostly having girls make fun of him and stuff even until now. ^^ Yeah I get it, I've read a lot of his other posts all over AZ and know how he is.. Typical "keyboard cowboy".. but sometimes I just have to respond, even though I try really hard not to most of the time..
