Hi All,

I am looking for a simple 2-Step to add to a 2018 A-Spec for a non-performance use. I just want to be able to stutter a specific RPM and preferably any steady RPM 3K and under.
Are there any kits or easy way to accomplish this without creating a CEL with a totally stock V6 TLX? Just to be clear this is not for any performance goals and just for a simple project I am working on that will require me to get the RPMS to stutter at a low RPM with no side effects.

I looked it up here: KTuner Products ? KTuner, LLC
But I don't see which I could use to just get the 2-Step function without spending too much. No need for the other features so I just need to find the cheapest device out there.
Any other ideas or where I can look please?

Now I see this will do the job perfect 15-17 TLX ? KTuner, LLC. but the dealer will see "Non-OEM Calibration" if I use this and can VOID me if they want to so Im hesistate thus far using a reflash.
I wonder if I can use a universal MSB type 2 Step device or will that give a CEL?

If my project works out like I plan than this will make all the ricer car meet peeps go nuts for one.

Except for that, I have no idea how else you could do it & there's a good chance it could void warranty.

Temp_A-Spec, My curiosity is peaked, what are you trying to do? I honestly have no clue what stuttering at a specific RPM is for.

All I am able to say is that it is for a pyrotechnic effect with flames out the rear for a film and not the traditional spark plug and coil in the tailpipe type either. The goal is to stutter a low RPM like a 2-Step does to "Pulse" the exhaust out the rear to get a blip of flames for a film scene on an 18 TLX. If the flame is used without the exhaust pulse then the effect will just be a blow torch type and that is not what is requested by production.

I do know that the second F&F movie used Propane and a spark plug but those cars had a standalone etc to get the added effect/results and this is a stock car with Cats and mufflers along with being an NA motor so the anti-lag trick is out.

So, maybe reach out to the engineers over at Ford? Whatever the case, I'd be careful considering the faux exhaust tips on the A-Spec.
