Does anyone use the economy mode or Sport Plus mode with any regularity? The only modes that seem to be drivable for any length of time are the regular and sport mode. Does anyone know if the Sport Plus mode has been retuned in the 2019 aspec?

I love the steering feel in sport plus but it's not usable for any length of time. I leave it in normal mode 95% of the time and never think about it.

Yeah that is what a ZF transmission does to you. Same here.

Sports+ 100% of the time. I couldn't go back to any other mode. (2019 A-spec)

Sport mode just about all time; have only found myself in Eco mode by accident (wife maybe use the car and left it in that mode) and use Sport+ mode when I really want to wind it out, which is very rare.

Sport mode unless I'm in the mountains and want to manually shift, then Sport+

Can't you use the paddles in all modes?

Yes, but it won't stay in manual mode if you drive a short distance at steady throttle - it reverts to the mode you were in before and stays in drive (not manual). Sport+ stays in manual.
Probably didn't explain it well, but that's my story and I'm sticking to it

That's normal. Not really an issue because the paddles are always alive so anytime you pull one it functions. You don't lose any performance.

Well, you do because of how Sport is programmed. I see it a lot on clover leafs with freeway interchanges. In Sport as I enter the cloverleaf I'll drop it down a gear or two, mid way through it goes back to D and i have to downshift again as I merge onto the next freeway. In Sport +, i can downshift as I enter the cloverleaf and it keeps it in gear through the merge.

Does it lose the lower gear under load when it shifts back to D? Mine will hold the gear till I unload the throttle or the RPMs hit a shift point where I would normally upshift if in full manual.

Unfortunately yes. I want to say it goes up a gear or two, but for sure it doesn't keep it in the same powerband because the RPM's will drop when it goes back to D. I'm always then paddle shifting down to get the power back up. Shows the difference between Acura and BMW programming on their transmissions.
