Min. trim to get blind spot monitors

The 2017 TLXs are a good value right now, but I really want Android Auto/Apple_Carplay and Adaptive Cruise control w/ slow speed follow that are, as I understand it, going to be standard on all models of new 2018s. My question, given that I would have Android Auto I really don't need a lot of other tech, but I do wish to have blind spot monitor. Is it known what is the minimum trim level that will have this? Also, w/ so much standard tech what will be the difference between 2.4L base and 2.4L Tech Package?

Finally, any idea on pricing of new models (again, 2.4L base or 2.4L tech package are what I am interested in.)

All that info should be available tomorrow, May 18th, when the embargo will be lifted regarding specifications, pricing and reviews for the '18 TLX.

Didn't they say AcuraWatch would be standard on all trims?

Isn't AcuraWatch the same as HondaWatch, which is a camera that focuses on your blind spot?

It's not true blind spot monitoring, right?

I thought AcuraWatch included BSM, ACC, LKAS, and Lane departure.

To answer your question to get blind spot monitor you must get Technology Pkg.

Acurawatch is 4 things: Collision Mitigation Braking System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Departure Warning

No, it looks like the Tech package is required. It's not across the entire line even though it should be. If AcuraWatch is standard why wouldn't they do the blind spot monitoring?

WRONG: 2018 TLX with have AcuraWatch Standard with is Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, Collision Mitigation Braking System, Lane Departure Warning

For blindspot you still must get the technology package, all years.

There is also Forward Collision Warning, Forward Collision Breaking, and Road Departure Mitigation. I suggest we wait for official specs. Kurtax - Acura uses Blind Spot Warning vs the Blind Spot Monitor camera that Honda uses only on the passenger side (that shows up on the centre screen.

Would think out of all those technologies that come standard, that BSM would be the cheapest and thrown in as a standard

Since I work in sales at a dealership we always talk about the issue that AcuraWatch should include Blind Spot. It should be standard but unfortunately thats not the case.

And about the Honda Lane Watch camera mentioned above, say good bye to it! They are removing them from Honda products due to law that states it is distracting. Moving forward they won't include them.

I much prefer a true Blind Spot Monitoring System to the Honda Lane Watch. Surely Honda will incorporate BSI in the '18 Accord.
