Key Fob Battery

Both of my tlx keys are showing low battery. I read the manual and didn’t see which battery is needed.

Have you tried popping the keyfob open to see what battery is in there?

I had battery low warning - second time for my 2015 TLX Advance. Stopped by the dealer and they replaced it - I presumed it would be free. Started walking out and the guy yelled "Hey, you got to pay for the battery"....yep, I'll be replacing my own CR2032 going forward.

Just go to a Battery Source store. They will replace the battery for three dollars and change.

My TLX has been giving me the warning the past few days, so need to open her up, and change it.
You just pop out the blade, and lever it open from the inside.

My wife's MDX remotes died with no warning whatsoever, so was surprised to see the warnings in my dash.

I tried following the instructions but haven't been able to open it. I'm concerned I will probably break the cover.

I always wonder why all these keyfobs are designed so poorly. Designers must know batteries need replacing, so why make it so damn difficult to access the battery!

I just replaced my on my 2015 TLX for the first time. Just remove the key, then use a dime to pry open the case. Once you get it started, just pry to separate. I then used a small screwdriver to pry out the old battery and then pushed in the new battery. Works great now.
