Just picked up a 19' 2.4 Tech.
Swapped out my 16' 2.4 Base in Graphite Luster Metallic yesterday for a brand new Platinum White Pearl 19' 2.4 Tech. The 16' had just over 30k miles after 35 months. It has been a fantastic car overall. Picked up the 19' for $7,000 off sticker, plus $1,000 down. With a 36 month lease and 12,000 mile a year allowance, it came out to $376 a month for the 36 months. I wanted to keep my 16' so bad, but I owed more then the car was worth at the end of my lease.

That’s better than the deal I got when swapping my 16 3.5 base for my 19 3.5 Base (~same price point before/after discount as the 2.4 Tech). I’m paying $399/mo with the same dp/allowance/term so you did well IMHO.

Congrats on the new car! Like you I was happy with my 16 Tech 2.4, but was swayed by the new look, opting for a 2018 Elite ASpec, as the one and only year this package was available in Canada. I love the car, as I'm sure you will love your new 19.

Congrats to you both.. Picked up a 19 v6 tech fwd last night. $459 out of pocket that's the monthly with tax. 36/15k. Platinum white pearl with black interior. Great seats! They're also paying my last two payments on my Accord lease, tint, and $200 towards over mileage on the Accord should Honda hit me with a bill .$200 is about half.

Getting back to the original point of the thread which is Type S release date. It seems like most are going to mid to late 2020 for the release which is what I was told as well. The additional talk of a late this year 2nd gen TLX seems to be in doubt at well. Some say just some changes on the 4cyl model (A-Spec only with tech package). I do not see that happening. No way they only offer the lowest model with A-Spec and tech package standard and as options on the higher models, but that's just my opinion.

Did a quick google search of my 2016's VIN and found it on a used car lot in Alabama. If anyone is interested in it, I took extraordinarily good care of it. All maintenance done at Honda/Acura dealers. New battery Jan 19'. I have pictures of the minor fender bender listed on the CarFax.

Base TLXs come with leatherette. Tech+ come with Milano Leather. The best way to tell the difference are the tiny perforations (holes) in the leather. If you get in a TLX and there arnt any perforations in the seat, its leatherette.
