Just Bought: 2016 TLX SH-AWD Elite A-SPEC

Three Wheelin'
I know quite a few guys said that their 2015 didn't start having issues with transmissions until they put on 500 miles some 1500 miles so test driving a new 2016 might feel perfect until you put some miles on it.

I am getting my forum threads confused, but somewhere I read that an owner took their 2015 in for the AWD vibrations, and got a 2016 loaner. They said absolutely no shift problems. It was in all caps, actually.
For those affected by the 2015 transmission issues, I recommend going to your dealer and test driving a 2016 and comparing. Especially when we have been told there have been no changes. This could be your ammunition for getting a permanent fix.

Is there a way to see the part numbers for the 16 and compare them with the one installed in your car?

Hey everyone, sorry for the delay... been pretty busy!
I picked up the aero kit the other day and took a peek at the rims... Here's some eye candy.
I'm getting the whole vehicle and kit wrapped, so i'll try to post the before and after shots soon enough. I obviously wont be putting on these wheels until the spring time though.
Two A-SPEC badges came with the kit too (drive & passenger side).. Has anyone seen the 2015 TLX A-SPEC package at all? I didn't open any of the other boxes.

Today I saw a 2016 TLX V6 with the A-Spec package sitting in the Maple Acura dealer. Looks really good, never knew it was re-introduced until I saw the A-Spec badges on the fenders

Met up with an awesome photographer and did an incredible photo shoot last night for the "before" shot in its stock kit-less fashion. Over 50 images were taken from a single vantage point with various lighting and exposures, and all of them are being rendered in to one picture that will be out of this world. Stay tuned, its coming soon...
I've also decided on the type of wrap that i'm getting, its a deep midnight blue/black with crushed diamonds! I need to get the kit installed before the wrap (as the drilling afterward will most likely damage the application), so i will be taking the kit through the winter.
I just hope the snow and salt will hold out for a few more weeks...

Nice picture. That said a front, side & rear set of "Mug Shots" might be helpful for the guys looking to buy the kit.

mksliao....I love the color, love the bodykit, now while I know it is simply an opinion, the wheels aren't as nice as the V6 wheels or the accessories. But again, keep in mind I am old and a bit more traditional.

Thanks for the comments, the wheels are actually Work Emotions Kiwami 17". I had them on my 08 civic. I needed a set for winter tires so I decided to use these. There was really no point selling them cheap and buying another set.
Maybe I'll take closer pics but I do agree with you because they are 17" they don't really go well with the car.

mksliao....Oh I see, they are only winter wheels! In that case, I take my comment back, I thought these were what you going to keep on all the time.

@youngTL Did you pick up your ride on christmas eve as scheduled?
I'm holding off on the kit install until spring.
@mksliao Looks sweet! Lets do a twin photo shoot in the spring time...? I'm in Durham too.

Is the 2016 Aero Kit new and better than 2015 kit? The 2015 kit looks tacked on.

Burning Brakes
I love the whole kit. Makes the TLX look much sportier. I remember when the 19" wheels were leaked and most members hated it; saying it was too busy. I thought it had great curb appeal and looks aggressive. If they bring the exhaust tips back and bump up the HP on the MMC model (MMC MDX is a good indication); I will consider upgrading.
