I am back!

I am back to my beloved brand. After many, many years of my two TL (2003 TL, 2003 TL Type S), 2003 Acura CL Type S 6 speed, I took a 2 year hiatus with a 2016 Accord Sport 6 speed. I liked it, but it always left something to be desired. So on a 2nd anniversary of buying the Accord, I visited an Acura dealership after few weeks of searching. Long story short, I am now an owner of a 2015 TLX SH-AWD V6 Tech Pkg in the most beautiful white. Local trade from one owner, I am an experienced car buyer, I checked everything 10 times. It has 9,400 miles. Dealership did bunch of fluids including diff and wipers as a part of certification. I owed $8400 on my Accord and got $16000 + tax credit for it. The Acura was $29,929 stick and I got it down about $800. All in all, I have a $22,500.02 balance on the loan after all the fees and etc. The car is absolutely brand new in the way it looks, drives and feels. I am beyond excited and happy and I look forward to many, many, many years of driving it. The transmission recall was done already, but that didn't worry me as I could have taken it in myself. I have 24 months or 51K miles left on limited and 4 years or 91K on powertrain. If I feel there is a need, I might buy Acura Care down the road. Anyway, that's it, happy to be back!

Check with your dealer - transmission warmer and drive train has been extended to 10 yrs. per Acura mailing to TLX owners.

The dealer I got it from is ways away but I'll check with my local one that I'll be taking it to once I have a need to go in. I'm not really worried about it but I do appreciate the information you gave me, I'll keep it in mind. Thank you

2015s also had a lot of teething issues with the ZF9 transmission. Software updates took care of some of the issues, but the people that fought for a transmission replacement came out the happiest. I got the transmission extension letter the other day, but it's a moot point for me as I plan to return the vehicle once my lease ends.

I don't plan to pursue it unless I notice a visible issue which so far there are zero.

I highly recommend switch out the tires to Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ tires. You will not believe the difference in handling after you do. :-)
