When arriving home from work, I opened the gate to get in my driveway and walked back to my car, and looked back and saw the hood heavily vibrating. I went to crack open the hood and touched the top of the motor and it was vibrating fairly heavily as if I was touching one of those $2 back massagers at Walgreens. I've never really looked at my car's hood while it was idling. Is this normal? Should I get this checked out? I have a TLX 2.4 - Approx. mileage 62,500

IMO: If it's performance is good, "ie" no mis-fire, than it may be failed, or failing engine mounts. If it's vibrating, that severely, and You are unsure, of how to check it yourself, I would take it to a trusted Shop, sooner rather than later!

Mine has a strong vibration but only felt inside the cabin, and see the engine shaking. I tried to feel the hood during idle, it was smooth. I took it to the dealership and they said it is normal for 2.4l.
