Heated Steering Wheel upgrade for 2015?

Hi,

Would it be possible to install the heated steering wheel from a 2017-2018 TLX Advance into a base-model 2015?

Anybody know what part number(s) I'd need?

Thanks,
Dave

There's an accessory heated wheel for all 2018 models, but it's not listed to fit previous years so I'm guessing there's a good chance you are not pre-wired for it.

Part # 08U97-TZ3-210A if you want to try.

Did heated steering ever come with earlier TLXs? If so, there could be wiring for it. If not, then you're taking a risk by doing it. My advice is to obtain the install instructions. By doing so, you can look in your own car to see whether the appropriate plugs are present. If not, you haven't wasted $500 for a steering wheel you can't use.

Where would I get those? (Google isn't helpful, but if there's a PDF I could buy or something, I'd be game.)

It can be added but you need to run the wiring from the steering column to the fuse block to power the heated wheel.

Is there a difference in how the heated steering wheel feels compared to the one that comes with the Aspec from the factory?

If this is the case, where does one get that two pin connector? Possibly cutting it out a salvaged 2014-2019 MDX or 2018-2019 TLX?

I was referring to reply saying that a wire would have to be run from the fusebox.

Hi there I will tell you this I have 2019 Acura TLX Aspec Sh-AWD and I added the heated steering wheel as an accessory to my model it is a great addition the steering wheel thickness is the same but I went above and beyond and actually added the PMC edition steering wheel not only heated but perforated leather with red stitch to match my red interior. The kit will include Steering Wheel, button, harness and clock spring as well so it is not just the wheel. Hope this help.

Mcgrath Acura of Morton Grove IL. I would also try ebay because sometimes you could find a good deal there.
