Headlight adjustment?

I think my headlights could be raised just a tiny bit to allow me to better see at night.

Yes, I understand hi-intensity lights and LED headlights - I've had them before, so I know about cutoffs and all that stuff. Mine are still just a tad too low.

Under the hood there are 3 "holes" in the shroud that are clearly labeled for adjustments - one for up/down and one for left/right. The only thing that puzzles me a little is that there are 3 of them, and I don't quite understand what the 3rd one is for.

Before I start monkeying with the adjusters, has anyone done it and can offer comments?
