I just thought that. I’m seeing More and More in the past month. Someone at my company must have just bought a red one. Seen it twice in our employee lot.

I bet the A-Spec version of the RDX will be very popular. I may buy one. This TBD. The A-Spec version of the MDX might also be popular. At least that is what Acura is counting since they brought back the A-Spec versions now
in 4 Acura's. Later when the Type S comes back...there will be more excitement for Acura lovers. Or might bring buyers from other marks.....and that's what it's all about. Finally Acura is getting back in to sporty, fun, good looks, and
later with the Type S...more horsepower.

I’ve been told similar from my Acura guy, that most of their TLX sales are A-Spec models.
If I get another TLX, I’ll probably just settle for a regular SH-AWD model now that 19s come with the Tech Pkg.

I hated the TLX when it came out. Once the Aspec arrived, it changed my mind. But the issue is the head unit for me. The interior is just too dated. I'm now eagerly awaiting the release of the RDX. I've never been a CUV fan, but you never know. And yes, the Aspec adds so much more to the looks of their models. I've been looking at Audi for the past two years, but at this point, I think I'm holding out another year to see what the next models look like. I can't wait until the RDX comes out.

There are four lights!
I know Jon Ikeda inherited a bunch of lame models that belonged to his predecessor, but it's unfortunate he wasn't at at the helm five years earlier. Reading this thread, there seems to be some genuine appreciation for the A-Specs and the positive direction that Acura is heading towards. It's too bad the TLX didn't launch with the MMC. I'd imagine the forums would have been very different if it had. Better late than never I suppose. The 2019 RDX is all Ikeda and has been generally well-received, so the brand as a whole is definitely going in the right direction under his leadership.

My GM told me that 80% of his TLX sales are A-Specs. I like mine...'cept for the push button trans. Not my thing, but, the overall car is really nice.

I really hope they learnt their lesson with the 15 TLX and how to properly deal with issues. I'm sure the RDX infotainment will have some boo-boos. Key is not to brush them off again as user problems. Audi is getting some hate with A4s to update the MMI software since they need a TSB to authorize change. Updates should be easy.

Great review from someone who loves to drive. For similar reasons, it's why I enjoy getting into my "dated" Espresso Milano leather interior everyday to drive my quick shifting and nimble handling TLX. It really is a buttoned down ride.

TLXs are a dime a dozen in the tristate NYC area, and I'm surprised at how many new TLXs I am seeing, and definietly seeing more A-Specs than base models.
Just like with the MDX, the front end looks much better in person than in pictures which can't capture the angles, and depths properly.

Honestly, during the first couple of model years I saw very few TLXs on the roads in the NYC/Central Jersey area. But early-mid last year, I noticed a mark uptick. While I do see the A-Spec here and there, I don’t see that many in my travels.
IMHO, the new front end works better on the MDX than the TLX. The new grill looks too wide for the sedan. I think this custom 15-17 grill looks far more tasteful:
