FWD Vibrations

Hello all,

As I read in other threads the vibration issues are mostly on the AWD version, but I recently noticed them on my 18 FWD version 18 Aspec.

I rarely notice, since I don’t really get on the HWY much.

Has anyone looked at their passenger seat slightly vibrate like the head rest area or also the seating belt buckle. If the seat belt buckle is an angle, you can see it vibrate. I noticed this going 50 mph on the main road. The good thing is around this speed you doesn’t affect the driving or feel it.

I due remember when I took it home on the HWY that you can feel a very slight vibration on the steering wheel around 60 to 70 mph.

I’m going on my first road trip at the end of the month. I’m hoping it’s not an issue.

Well it is under warranty.

1. Report it to the dealer
2. Possibly have them re-balance the wheels.

BTW, my 2016 AWD ride has not vibs at any speed (and I tested all, ALL of them ;) )

Often the problem is the VCM (which is why someone invented a VCMuzzler). This is an all too common complaint at dealerships, for which they will tell you "No problem found".

My 18 A-Spec FWD has a noticeable slight vibration anywhere from 65 and up. It is more noticeable at specific speeds in that range, but it is generally always there at highway speeds. I feel it mainly in my legs and feet, not so much in the steering wheel. If I have a bottle of water in the cup holder, I can see the water rippling with the vibration. When the passenger seat is empty it vibrates noticeably to my eyes and to the touch. I've had my tires road force balanced, so it's not a balancing issue. I will mention it at my first service in a couple of months. I fully expect to hear either "we were not able to duplicate the symptoms" or "it is operating normally", to which I call BS to both. This is certainly not normal for a $45K car, and frankly gives me serious buyer's remorse. I recently had my wife's Pathfinder on a 2 hour highway trip and that vehicle rides smooth and vibration free, just like my luxury vehicle should. Only 32 lease payments left...
