Downsizing tires for winter - 19 to 17?

looking to save a few bucks for winter tires and rims and wondering if I can use the OEM 17 inch size from the base tlx on my current aspec trim that uses 19 inch.

Just wasn't sure if the trims used different sized brake setup or if the aspec sidrskirts may interfere.

Should be fine and you shouldn't have any problems at all. You can run OEM 17 inch or 18 inch wheels on your car without issues. Only thing is you may have to swap the tire pressure sensors depending on what year TLX you get the wheels from if you still want that to function

You're good. Ditto on TPMS in your winter set unless you want to face an idiot light all winter.

How annoying is the Tpms warning light? If it flashing or beeping and where does it show in dash? It's my first car with tmps . I can live without it for winter tires, I know they are rather costly .

TPMS will stay on if you don't have any sensors. However, you will no longer be able to turn off the traction control. In certain situations when stuck in snow, you need to turn off the traction control. I would just get new sensors for the new rims from the dealer. The car is self-learning, which means it's plug and play (no programming needed at each tire swap).
