Black oil

Black oil
I have a 2015 TLX SH-AWD with 27000 km. After 1000Km the oil is black. I change at the recommended interval so it shouldn't be that dirty. A lot of city driving but some highway as well. The maintenance minder indicates 20% left at 11K km. I also own a 2003 TL and the synthetic oil looks practically new after 5000 km. Any thoughts?

Multi grade oil will turn black after a number of heat cycles. No issue with your car.

The additive package in some oils, Mobil 1 as an example, darken with use, just the nature of the beast.
As a completely non-scientific observation, I've noticed Castrol synthetic oils and Shell Rotella T6 tend to stay amber in color for much longer than Mobil 1. The thing is, the Used Oil Analysis tests I've had run on those three oils (all from the same vehicle) show no appreciable difference in how well the engine was protected.
