Back in an Acura

Several years ago i had an 01 CL-S and an 08 TL. I sold both of them at different times and moved on. Most recently, i had a ‘15 grand Cherokee SRT. I always want the SRT and about 18 months ago I found a deal I couldn’t pass up. I drive about 25,000 miles a year for work and i was filling up 2-2.5 times per week and was replacing the tires every 12000 miles. The thing was absolutely ridiculous and I got comments and questions on it everywhere i went. I put a lot of money into it appearance wise, and also a couple of performance things. I had a Borla cat back put on, AFE intake, new strut bars, had it ceramic coated, new wheels, blah blah blah.

Anyways, i had an epiphany last week and decided i had enough of spending 200 per week in gas. I was driving home last Tuesday and a TLX A-spec was right next to me and i really liked the way it looked. I have not been a fan of the Acura body styles since 2008, when they redesigned the TL. Anyways, i really liked it and started doing some research. I found an 18 with 5000 miles on it for a very reasonable price. It also had the blue exterior with the red interior that i liked. The next day i went to the dealership to check it out and ended up leaving with it. So far i am very happy with it. Obviously it is much smaller than the Jeep, and nowhere near performance wise, but i really am happy with this. The Jeep was a blast to drive, but quality wise there is no comparison. The interior trim on my Jeep fell off a couple of times, the dashboard was bubbling, and the front fender flares were peeling off on the front end.

So for the long story but i am thrilled with this and looking forwarded to contributing. Below are some pictures of the new car.

i know. The one I saw driving was white and when I looked on cars.com there were only a couple available within a couple hundred miles with the blue exterior and red interior. There were plenty with the blue exterior and black interior.

i do love it. It is going to take some time to get used to, but I really do enjoy driving it. It is such a different vehicle than the SRT, obviously. I am surprised just how comfortable the seats are. I really like the thigh extended thing on the drivers seat.

and it is the 3.5l v6. Not sure if these come in a 4 cylinder but just in case they do. I know the regular tsx’s do.

I thought so too. Like I said, I couldn’t find anything else within a few thousand dollars with similar mileage. And nothing else with the blue and red color combo.

thanks. I got the windows tinted a couple of weeks ago and had the xpel film applied to the front end. Next thing is wrapping the roof and the front grill in glossy black or carbon fiber. I can’t decide between the two.
