^^ Reliability?! They don't even have that, I think it is the massive discounts plus people thinking they actually bought a Kia
*there is my contribution*
In all seriousness....I am delighted to see the good sales this month....I see lots more TLX these days which is good.
It is crazy to see the difference in the Canadian and US market though.

What's really impressive is that Aug 2015 TLX sales in the U.S. increase a whopping 90.4% vs Aug 2014 TLX sales.

Summer is Coming
They have been advertising the heck out of it and are making deals. Let's hope they remember this when the 2016's arrive. However, with 13,000 2015's still in stock it will take nearly 3 months to sell off the 2015's.

I was sold on Acura's once I got my 07 TL, however none of the Acura cars or trucks do it for me, possibly the RDX. I am going to Honda for the next car, so I guess still keeping it in the family. Love the new Accord by the way, super sporty looking.

The understated, elegant look continues out back with L-shaped LED tail lamps connected by a thin strip of chrome trim and two exhaust pipes integrated into the rear bumper.
Maybe its the 750 series 0-60 in 4.3 seconds helping it along.

Better view:
MB's new top sedan also has them. Some might not like them but they are still a fixture on most cars. Maybe the TLX will start a trend of naked pipe ends. NAH
BTW the August TLX sales are going in the right direction. Four more months & 50K units for the year.

Well, I guess the 750 I saw was a different year, because the exhaust pipes were completely hidden, not just integrated. By the way, it was white and really looked good, actually cleaner that the blue one above.
Either way if fine with me.

Good sales for Acura.
The ATS appears to be an unmitigated disaster.....4 engines, 2 body styles...only 2449 units in August....that car is being beaten even from the now outgoing A4...what a mess.
A clear demonstration that sometimes excellent cars can be bad sellers...

What's also interesting is that the MDX sales dropped a whopping 24% from last August. I suspect the revamped RDX is taking away some of those but nonetheless that's bad news given the revitalization of truck sales.

My dealer told me they barely sold any FWD V6 models. It was all I4's and V6 SH-AWD's.

I'll be joining the TLX family this Sunday, so that makes it 12,999 lol.

12,997. Took possession Friday of my AWD Tech. Picks to come.
One thing I can't grasp is all of the fuss over tailpipes? Seriously? I don't get it. The TLX is a great looking car... very distinctive. Who cares about tailpipes?

12,999. Finally got my car today! Graphite Luster Metallic 3.5 P-AWS Tech.
God it was a crazy ass time at the dealership today though. My car was initially hidden from sale and stored away on Friday. I get to the dealership this morning with my folks (I live about an hour and a half away). My salesgirl was on a delivery trip out of town, so she deputed another associate to start the paperwork. We get halfway through the paperwork (One of the sales managers is running all the stuff) and then the associate, who had gone to get the car from storage, comes up to me to inform me the car is gone. I was like WTF!!! It turns out the GM of the dealership has taken my car as his personal "demo" and basically disappeared with it. Man I was freaking pissed. The associate told me the GM had turned off his phone and that they couldn't reach him or whatever BS. The dealership had to locate another car for me (they did a dealer trade with another dealer) and have it driven down by my salesgirl who had gotten back from her delivery trip. Luckily my folks and I had some other things to do nearby, so I finally took delivery of the new car in the evening. It was totally worth the wait though! Pics and impressions to come .

Regarding the exposed tailpipes - I suspect there are actually about 27 people on the planet who really care about it - 21 of which post here.

I test drove the CLA 45 AMG last week (the upscale CLA 250) and all I have to say is WOW!!!
Sorry for the party pooping on the TLX, but seriously Acura needs to get their act together. Good effort, but kind of a kindergarten effort compare to Benz. The seats felt great, the drive felt great and ultra quiet, the transmission was amazing and torque galore without a hint of torque steering. The interior stitching on the seats and dash was really something!
Hope to make the trade sometime next spring, assuming the 2016 model comes with a smaller bezel around the navi display (current one is a bit weird sized).
