I would second the use of Armor All Brake Dust Repellent. It is very effective and last a decent amount of time. I use it on all of our vehicles.

I wipe them down about once a week.

So far the brakes are awesome, strong braking power less pedal pressing, wouldn't look back to the stock pads. I didn't notice that much dust and there is no noise or squeals just smooth strong braking.

Any hint of rotor warping?

yup those are the numbers, get them from pepboys it's the cheapest I've found them and they do not come with shims you can reuse the one on the original brakes. No rotor issues yet, its to early to see but I'll keep everyone posted.

Edited . I found the stock setup capable enough for my street driving especially on the crap LS-2 tires I inherited.

Upgrade brakes or tires and it will quickly expose weakness of the other.

Here's a little video about Duralast GT brake pads - this guy thinks they're better than EBC. I'm not saying I know or trust this guy making the video, but, seems interesting anyway. Now, I dunno how (down in the comments) he came to his opinion as to Duralast being better than EBC because I'd wanna see (or make myself) a head-to-head video comparing the two before I made that statement myself.

Total for me for all 4 was $201 with taxes and shipping. Far better than any other place online that I found. If you only want the fronts and want the, fast Amazon had the fronts in stock for a tad more than Autozone. They did not carry the rears.

It is a vendor drop ship item as I suspect it is with most online sellers so parts are coming direct from EBC. Let’s hope they are in stock and ship on time.

yup the brakes are dropped shipped from ebc. i paid around 86 dollars for the front with free shipping, dont forget when you change the brakes use the original factory shims on the pad. so far no noise and dust levels are ok.

Just to check my understanding, you have a 4 cylinder aspec Acura TL with a lightweight pulley and you feel you need better brakes?
You would lose your mind with my Cadillac...even with Brembo and 20 pistons of stopping power it is a heavy heavy cow to bring back down from speed.

more bite will be more dust...you okay with that?
I was tempted to go ceramics but I'm afraid of not having the stopping power.

Let us know how the yellows perform! Sounds like you'll be the first...or at least the first to share it.

A little less snooty and more respect would be nice...

I do not know what snooty and respect you are speaking about but you've got everything pretty much wrong. All my mods are on my Aspec, my 4cyl is complete stock and won’t be touching anything on it and I have the ebc reds on my ASPEC! Also I’ve had rotora 4 pist BBK and quite familiar with stopping power and dust. A little less rushing to judge and not reading and more respect would be nice...

My post was disrespectful and quick to judge?

Snooty and disrespectful was in reference to you telling someone where they are welcome to post from the first page after they posted something you deemed too vague and not what you were looking for. Sounds like you're pretty well versed with BBC brakes and forums. Kind of wondering why you were looking for opinions when its sounds like you already knew the answer. I've had numerous TLX as loaners and drove an Aspec...I don't care if you add big power adders like lightweight pulleys and cold air intakes, you don't need a brake upgrade for that car. That's my opinion and there's no point in proving to me that yours differs from mine, as that has been made clear.

I had a hard time discerning it was 2 separate cars you were talking. Could be my comprehension, could be the way you write.

Key word is you HAD them as loaners and do not drive it every day!!! and to reference to that other person about being welcome, it was being sarcastic to his know it all comments. Everything was explained fully in the thread, you don't have anything good to say then keep out of it, it's a person’s preference as to how they want their car to feel and handle and you are also correct in that you should not care what I or anyone else on this forum is putting on their car I’ve always said this before this place is to assist and guide people with information just as google is there and it’s best to hear it from the fellow car driver you would trust. Take some time out of your busy day and read the entire thread and then you will understand what the deal is
No hard feelings just keep it moving

My point is who determines if it's something nice or not? And whom are you to determine whether or not the person is welcome to post or read a thread?
And after how many miles of owning a TLX would someone be welcome to post content?

Don't make that suggestion again. Write more clearly and it won't take 3 pages to make your point, if there even was one.
I've wasted enough of my busy day on this thread.

but agreed, no hard feelings so let's get back on topic.
Assuming next step will be actually receiving the pads you ordered and driving around on them for a while. Letting us know if they stop well enough for your liking?
Let us know.

Hard to tell at this size image, but looks like they have a dusting on them, but honestly my wheels with factory front pads have a light dusting as well. I remember the 08 Type-S Brembo's dusted like mad, but the gun metal wheels hid most of it the only hint was the wheels did not shine they looked dull, vs. a silver wheel that would have looked black.

Interesting, when I went to Pep Boys website and entered the front pads, they came back at $125 and did not even list the back pads. I guess if I had gone to one of their stores I could have gotten a better deal, but at least mine will hopefully be here next week.

It comes with 4 circle shims but I wouldn't trust it, you can clean/grease and reuse the current stock shims without any issues. So far no squeaks or movements from the pads.
