Anyone who bought have any regrets yet?
The thought of the SH-AWD shipping has my juices flowing! ( ya too much info. LOL)
However this little guy on my left shoulder keeps poking me. Saying are you really sure you want to buy a brand new model car that Acura is still learning to build! And surely they will be updating the technology package next year to include things like Apple Car Play, entertainment system, navi, etc.
After all you have a great 05 TL that is mint.
Soo guys....

I usually don't make impulse buys (heck, it took me about 5 years to decide on this car), and once I decide on the car, I have no regrets. Every year new technology is coming out, so if they come out with Car Play or a hologram girlfriend to chat with you on long trips, I couldn't care less. I got the car I want and after 1000 miles, it's still the car I want. I can't wait to take the car on a long drive, and out of the city... especially at night to see everything lit up and play with her doodads (shut up, weather).

No regrets!! My 04 TL was one of the first built too. I'm lucky enough to have been able to keep the 04 and get the 15 TLX, and it's fun switching between the two cars.
All I can say is I still love driving my 04 TL, but can't wait to get home to drive the TLX when I'm out in the 04!!

I got one of the first 2014 MDXs and the only problem I've had with that is a cranky switch in the second row overhead light.

I was just telling a friend today how happy I was with the car and that there is zero buyer's remorse feelings. I had the new car itch bad and only took the time to test drive one other model, the Cadillac ATS, and after I drove that I bought the TLX a couple days later.
I did go from only having 1 car payment to 2, so maybe after that first $600 bill comes I may feel differently

No buyers remorse at all for me. In fact I like the car more every day as I get more comfortable driving it.
Can't wait to get past the break-in period to have some sport+ mode fun!

I think he might have seen those TV ads where you can lease an MB for 400$ a month but never reading the fine print.. 2 yr lease, 10k miles, high $ upfront, excellent (800+ credit score)... maybe

That would be with a decent down payment - your terms with nothing down would be around $800/month before taxes and fees. $591 probably had a healthy down payment and sounds pretty reasonable. A 30K camry with nothing down at 0% is still a $500/month payment.

They don't push a switch when they retool the floor to build a new vehicle. The assembly line takes some tweaking to get things all working together! It's not an Acura issue per sec but just the nature of changing to a new process.
I'm not seeing any negative replies here or elsewhere so Acura is likely doing a great job.

My regret is that mine won't even be BUILT until the end of October even though I ordered it the 3rd week in August. The agony!

Yes, I apologize...forgot to add the 10K down payment so I was missing something, lol.

My Salesman is telling me that in Canada, they have no idea when an AWD will even arrive in our country. But then again he's not too knowledgeable, period!

40000(price paid with warranty and taxes)-8500=$31500
31500/ 7(years car will be kept)= 4500/yr car will cost me.
That works out to 375/mo. Not bad.

My guy has some visibility into some system that showed him when the order entered their supply chain and when the build date is. Don't know what it is, sorry. I ordered a BWP/Espresso, and I asked him when the BWP/Grays were being built, and he was able to tell me they were only six days earlier than mine (and my wife likes the Espresso).

Plus you have to factor in which trim was purchased. The base TLX starts at a decent price but the V-6 Advance can get kind of pricey leading to a high monthly payment. But what's high for one person may be low for another. Like I said...we are all different with different financial situations and people do what they want too with their hard earned money.
Hell when financing the top of the line Accord, it's not hard for your payment to get into the upper 500's. So $600/month or more for a TLX is not bad. I purchased my ZDX new (with a decent down payment) about a year and a half ago. To some my monthly payment may still be high, but it is the car that I wanted. A MB, or BMW never even crossed my mind.

Having a monthly car payment, especially for $600/mo is very steep for me. I pay both of my RLs cash, and am planning to keep it until 2019. Paid 35k for the car, it'll probably be worth about 8500, when I sell it.

If so I'm getting REAL tired of my salesman !! and may have to tell him I don't want to deal with him anymore! Tired of him not having any answers and just BS's me. Told him yesterday I'd order a AWD if he could give me a low interest lease!
Since being screwed over on an American made vehicle many moons ago I've leased then bought out early if I like the vehicle, which since I've always done.
I'm with you, except I'm not so optimistic about the current market. Having said that I can still get 2% on a one year GIC which still puts money in my pocket based on a .9% lease!

Good Point. However, in 2008 when the stock market went to hell, and we had the recession. In 2008 I invested heavily in the markets, and bought up every stock at pit price, this included one share of NYSE: BRK.A, and several other companies, total stock invests came up to around 300k, at the time. Since then, the markets had recovered, and on March 18th, 2013. I cashed everything out; sold every damn stock I had in my portfolio. I ended up turning a great profit. Thank you 2008. The money I made, paid my the rest of my mortgage, and bought me the RL cash, and I still have a little less than 40k to get back in the markets. I have no clue why I'm posting this here, and not on a stock board or something.

Now some fellow Canadian please answer my question about getting a .9% lease/financing on a new TLX in Canada. Cause if it's true I won't wait to test drive the AWD, I'll just pre-order and lease, instead of paying cash.
#34
I would get a 1.9% for a TLX with loyalty but then giving a MSD would drop the rate to 0.4% so its doable in Canada.
#35
I thought that was a lease price. When I buy, I buy outright. Saves money in the long term imo. I got 7k off Msrp on the last car I bought in 2012. Since then, I got 2 leases, one is 293/month with 2k down on a 42k car and the other is 280/month nothing down on a 32k car. I know the lease prices of mb/BMW as I help lots of friends and relatives get them. It's common to find a 335i xdrive for 420/month 3-4k down. Those brands usually have great lease deals, the trick is trying to find a dealer willing to work with you.

The rate is higher with finance though. So it makes more sense to lease. If after the 36 month period you want to keep the car, you can then buy it out. It will work out still cheaper than financing the car.
The current residual for the 36 month lease with 20,000 km per year is as high as 60%. So that brings down the monthly payment during the lease period quite a bit. With the low interest rate and high residual value, it is the best lease deal out there in this class!

I understand that the Acura loyalty bonus is 2% off of the current rate. If you lease for 36 months, the regular rate is 2.9% now, so with the loyalty bonus, it will come down to 0.9%!!!

Therefore, if you are a loyalty customer, you actually can get 0% for 3 yrs or 0.4% for 4 yrs leasing interest.
I don't know if this is available in AB or us.

I also have access to the Acura loyalty program. I'm using the standard lease rate of 4.99% less 2% loyalty and less another 1.5% from the Acura Multiple Security option. This also get me the $2000 cash incentive resulting in the lowest pymt possible on a 4 year lease. Always deal with an knowledgeable salesperson.

What 2015 Acura has Carplay? I don't think any car released has Carplay. Siri hands free is included in 2015 models and was offered as a software upgrade on 2014 RLX.
