If you can't make a 2.4 TLX work it's on you. Anticipation and momentum can get you past 90% of drivers out there when the situation calls for it.

Just a quick update - I just drove about 900 miles to Minneapolis and back cruising at 75-80 mph in my poor underpowered 2.4 (7.0 litres per 100 km) and never got tired for the 7 hours or so of driving both ways. My Alcantara seats were great, I passed at 85 easily when needed, and had no vibration while easily texting, calling, and What's Apping when needed, in between tunes at volume 5-6 and conversation, not to mention getting some envious looks while city driving. Not to mention flawless ACC and Auto brights.

Ive already replied to this thread about how I am 100% happy with my 2.4 TLX, but I must admit that Ive never driven the V6 version. Today I got a chance to drive a brand new Jeep Compass with the "critically acclaimed" ZF 9 speed. First time I have ever sampled this transmission. I did a full throttle 45mph to 65mph sprint to see how the transmission handled it. It took 4 "one thousands" before you could even tell that I had pushed the gas to the floor. Now I will assume that the ZF in the TLX is better tuned then the one in the Compass. But I cant Imagine it is multiple seconds quicker.

I traded my 2.4 in after 5 months. Coming from my 6 speed TL (it was modded) the lack of power got old. It was a good car but I needed more so I bought a Mustang, turned it into a racecar and bought an older TL-S as my commuter.

Unfortunately a guy hit me on the freeway 2 weeks ago spinning me into the center divide totalling my TL-S. I still haven't figured out if I will be buying another Acura yet.
