Any pictures of the chrome door trim?
Before I remove the dealer installed body side molding that I really don't like, I was wondering if anyone has pictures of the Chrome door trim installed. Maybe that will improve the look of the body side molding? Thanks......

Take a look at the Acura of Bellevue website, they have a few cars with the chrome door trim:
http://www.acuraofbellevue.com/new-i...=16&model=TLX&
It looks great when the vehicle has the 18" rims (V6) and without the body kit. Even on the white vehicle, it looks good that way.
However, when it has the body kit on, it looks too busy. Then together with the 19" diamond cut wheels, it was just way over the top.

Alright, I finally figured out a way to get these photos! They are all found on the Acura of Bellevue site, so I must give them credit here:
Oh my! BLING BLING ALERT! Those chrome wheels, body kit and the chrome door trim together are just way too much...!
I do like how it looks on this BWP TLX with 18" rims though. Very simple and elegant:
The chrome door trim stands out much more with a dark colour - I really like how it goes with Black Copper here:
I think the chrome door trim makes the car more "premium" but perhaps a bit Lexus-ish though....
I like how the trim works with the simple 18" rims. But I don't think it will look nice with the 19" diamond cut rims - will be way too busy then.
Once again, photos are courtesy of Acura of Bellevue: http://www.acuraofbellevue.com/new-i...t=0&model=TLX&

Thanks for the pics! I'm going to be calling my dealer tomorrow to have them add the chrome door trim to my car. I'll post some pics when I get it hopefully sometime next week.

I was sure I wanted the chrome door trim until I saw this thread! Maybe it's seeing it with the body kit that's spoiling it for me? Anyone have more pics of it on cars withouth that awful stick-on body kit? How about the body side molding? It's a little more subtle.

The body kit does ruin the look of the chrome door trim. Looks much better without it. As for the bodyside moulding, I have it on my 4G and thought I wanted it on my future TLX, but to me the moulding looks cheap, more like an aftermarket universal moulding. I'm gonna pass on it.

Looks awesome on the black - not really digging it on the white though I can't quite put my finger on why.

I had the chrome door trim installed a couple of days ago on my black/black TLX and the dealer botched the job. There's an extra 1/4" inch gap between front/rear on the left side vs right and the front/rear doors are not aligned vertically so it doesn't flow at all. The dealer said they would re-do it but it's making me question whether it's a good idea to have it on at all (it just being adhesive/clips and all).

Better that it is adhesive and clips. Can you imagine if they had to drill holes in the door to install it, especially having botched your installation....???!!!!

Thanks to all for your pictures and especially your opinions on the chrome subject. I believe I like the 'clean' look and will continue to remove the body side molding and hold off on the chrome trim for now. Even if I add the chrome trim it would be just too busy with the BSM too.
I had added the BSM to my '11 TSX and thought it really added to the appearance but I think it does just the opposite to the TLX.

I don't know if the mind the installation location as much as I hate the look of the physical BSM itself.

Yeah, I went with the Fathom Blue (which has the graystone interior as the only option). I'm getting the decklid spoiler and I think I'll go with the chrome door trim. I keep looking at the pics and now I'm torn. Not sure if I like it better with nothing on the doors or with the chrome trim. Tough decision!

I can't say I'm as big a fan of the chrome trim. Maybe I need to see it in person. The only thing I'm really looking to add is the splashguards ... still debating that.... decisions, decisions.

I'm going with the i4. Thanks for your opinion. I'm mostly worried that I won't like the chrome trim when I see it in person. I have a few more days to think about it because the car probably won't be in until the end of next week but I really wish I could see one in person before making my decision.

I think it's more of a "one or the other way decision" not both.
If you are gonna do the "sporty look" with the weird body kit, (Why?? please skip it. Something better WILL come out, Acura or otherwise.) don't do the chrome strips. It's just out of place, it doesn't make the car look more sporty and with those chrome wheels, omg, just looks like a 90s Mitsubishi Gallant that some 16yr old took to AutoZone with his new credit card.
If you aren't gonna do the bodykit and want the luxury look as the bottom pics show it looks much more elegant. (although it's not my type of look at all) It is a very Lexus look, they've been doing this look for years. MB and BMW have picked up on it recently.

I didn't say it is a rule. I said "I think". That makes it an opinion, take it or leave it.
Why? Do you like that Mitsubishi Gallant look with chrome hubcaps wheels? Or that awesome "wrap around fail" bodykit? lol. Yes indeed, "beauty" is in the eye of the beholder. Make sure to put the word "beauty" in quotes though. Some people have weird taste. Again just my opinion.
