The 3G TL Type S acceleration is 5.5 sec for 0 - 60 mph. So I don't think 7 sec would cut it for me on a hybrid. I would expect a TL hybrid to be close to 5.5 sec range before consideration. I could care less if it has tail pipes or not.

BTW the 2014 RLX hybrid is listed as 5.1 sec for 0 - 60 mph.

This would be my preference. Fuel efficiency of Accord hybrid with design and luxury of Acura.

7.0 sec 0-60 is not much different from my old 2004 TL, and that was plenty fast.

Yeah but the MPG isn't that great - that was one of the problems with the old accord hybrid not much fuel savings. You should consider get the RLX if acceleration is your key component or a Porsche turbo.

Acceleration isn't my primary criteria, however I can't see paying $37,000 for a vehicle that does 0 - 60 in 7 sec. That's not performance sedan material in my book and doesn't come close to competing with the other perfromance sedans on the market.

Hey - My 2001 TL doesn't even do 0-60 in 7 secs! JK - I'm happy with 7 seconds but I realize if someone is driving a sports car, anything less might seem sluggish.
